I've been binge-watching The Pacific miniseries from 2010...about the Pacific war. It got me thinking about what my dad used to say about what it's like in battle. He said, "You convince yourself every morning that you are gonna die today. Then, when you go to sleep at night alive, you thank God for another day."

One of the best tour stories I ever heard. Our tour manager who had done loads of tours said, when he had been up in Newcastle he'd picked up a really hot girl and took her back to the hotel with him. Every time he "went for the beaver" she slapped his hand. After a while of this she half shouted "Look pet, I'm on the blood. You'll have to bang me in the shitter".
Made me laugh anyway.

Doesn't matter how many times I see ads for season 52; I still lose my shit every time cause Drew looks good enough to eat (figuratively, that is, cause I'm not a cannibal).
