The Undertaker. He was the main reason I got into wrestling in the first place. The larger than life character he portrayed drew me to watch SmackDown every week. Naturally, that led to me watching RAW. As I age and cared more about wrestling skill, I still felt he was my favorite. While he's known for his Streak, and his character, he was a great wrestler. Specifically between the late 90s into the late 00s. He generally used more MMA based wrestling, was always an athletic big man, and would make a good match with a small guy (Rey Mysterio for example), a big guy (Kane), a near talentless hack (Heidenreich), or a wrestling master (Kurt Angle).
Undertaker can be funny. I think that's Hornswoggle. |

Good idea. I guess I'll have to go with...
I've always been a huge fan and supporter of Jeff Hardy. I grew up watching the greats, and I'll always have a love and appreciation for their work, but I've never identified with any wrestler more than Jeff Hardy. His charisma just works for me and he backs it up in the ring. He wasn't the innovator of the style he uses, but he's certainly mastered it in my eyes. To me, he is the perfect mesh of mic skills and wrestling skills. He's had his struggles, but I can relate to them. Definitely my vote. |

Gonna take some heat on this one, I can feel it.
Favorite wrestler was Goldberg. Every time he came on, I marked out big time just because he seemed dangerous. The fact he wasn't a very good wrestler meant just that, he could injure someone at any time. I never wanted to see anyone injured, but just the premise made me watch. |

Unlike most smarks, I've got no issue with Goldberg. He did bring a certain atmosphere with him every time he came out to the ring, and I loved the walk from the locker room out to the ring. I grew to hate SuperGoldberg in the last days of WCW and his schtick lost that alien draw by then, but he had some good experiences for the fans before that.

I was never really a Goldberg fan, but I didn't have a problem with him either. I actually popped when he beat Hulk Hogan for the world title.

My favorite wrestler changes a lot. Right now I'd say Vader. The jobber squashing Vader in WCW was intimidating. Also, despite his size he was fairly mobile. His match with Stan Hansen in AJPW (the one where Vader's eye is popped out) is one of my favorite matches of all time.

I've never watched that match against Stan Hansen, I've only heard about it.

He is probably the best super heavyweight ever, certainly the best I've seen. The matches with Sting were great, probably the only Sting matches that I liked. I was so excited when he made his WWF debut. I didn't know about politics and all that other rubbish back then. I thought he was going to come in and dominate everybody on his way to winning the WWF championship. Sadly that never happened. The WWF really dropped the ball with him. edit ** here is the match for anybody else that hasn't seen it |
