Quite a day for accomplishments!

Completed all my housework (put clean laundry away, vacuum, swept linoleum, took out garbage and recycling, dishes, cleaned stovetop & drip pan) and food shopping.

Accomplished a lot more than I thought I would today starting with doing the dishes and cleaning the stovetop followed by a 3.7 walk and purchasing all the items on my list.

Looking at my posts since June 26, I've really had very little to say. I'm going to chop this into several parts, one they don't necessarily relate to each other, and two, well, dangit, it is my thread isn't it?

It seemed like a good idea at the time

I noticed it had been a long time since we cleaned under and behind the refrigerator in the kitchen. I brought home large boxes from work, appliance size boxes, cut them into a big flat wall and lined them down one side of the kitchen.

This was to prevent the leaf blower from messing up the rest of the kitchen when I blew under the refrigerator. Just a big gust under and behind, then right down the wall of cardboard, right out the door.

And it worked perfectly - - - until the dust settled, literally. And the kitchen looked like a coal mine explosion.

So my quick little leaf blower idea turned into a three hour kitchen catastrophe cleanup on aisle all of them.

My sale site did well this week after a few weeks slump. I sold seven listings for a total of $65.

I also gave up on one of my listings and donated it this morning.

Still have over 80 listings, most 5 to 10 dollars, but three over $100.

So, in July, wife had covid. I got sick too, figured since she had covid, I had it too, but doc determined mine was an ear infection. Two and a half freaking weeks of ear infection, going to work every day and practically passing out thirty minutes after getting home.

At the worst of my ear infection, wife tells me her toilet is not working correctly. Sure enough, the ballcock has simply died of old age.

The good news, I had the part already in my stash of extra parts, so I paid 2010 clearance price for a 2024 part, felt good about that.

However, the part did not work correctly. It is "adjustable." And even when set correctly, it adjusted itself to the deepest setting.

I'm not going to tell you how many times I put the finishing touches on the project, assuring myself this time I've got it, because it is embarrassing.

The final outcome, was I modified the defective part to jam up exactly where it should and in the end, finally, fixed the toilet.

The seat of the desk chair here in "my" room needed reupholstering. I consider myself better than average at reupholstering. In fact, I reupholstered this chair myself around 15 years ago.

I'm thinking that perhaps my "planetsuzy chair" might just endure a bit more friction than a plain old rolling office chair. So I am not upset that it needs work again.

So, I disassembled the chair to reupholster the seat only, back is still factory strong. Couldn't help but noticing, damn, I was at the top of my game when I did this last time. So the standard is set high on this one.

Determined not to need more tools than I collected for the job, I was very careful to accumulate everything I needed before starting.

And wouldn't you know, the staples and the stapler are in different tool boxes! That's going to be fixed.

Suffice to say, the chair is reupholstered with all the stringent attention to detail from the last time I fixed it.

Got a great upholstery story. About 2005, give or take a year, I was diagnosed with double pneumonia. I could function for about 20 minutes at a time, but then had to rest 20 minutes.

No employer will stand for that (smirk, well, not then anyway). I spent a Thursday and Friday at home.

Before I developed the pneumonia, I was already planning to reupholster 8 dining room chairs. I already had the cloth and extra padding purchased, but didn't have the time.

Two days off gave me the time. Twenty minutes of work, twenty minutes sitting against the wall, television music channel playing the whole time, I finished five chairs the first day, the last three on Friday.

After the last three chairs, I added a short bench as well. I just use it to put on shoes. All eight of the chairs and the bench are still good as new.

Not only did the toilet clunk in the wife's room while she had covid, I noticed one of her chest drawers was sagging.

In fact, two of the clips on the back of the drawers that hold them on track and prevent them from flipping forward were broken. Get the part, five minute fix, right?

Nothing seems to go easy sometimes. Went to the big box home repair store, couldn't find the correct part, found some "half" parts if used together would work.

Once I looked more closely at the job, I didn't like the concept of lapping one piece over the other and offsetting the clips under the track, so I ordered the parts online.

Dumbass with an ear infection ordered the wrong parts. Got them home, almost correct, not quite. Don't know how I missed that.

Ordered the correct parts finally, third trip to the repair store, easy fix.

Trended twice last week... so, of course, I just let a new one fly.

(It's political in nature, so I can't go into detail here.)

Cleaned up my studio (I work from home in the animation industry).
Bought a real ergonomic chair (Ditching the cheapass 90$ chair from Ikea I had before).
Standing desk will come soon.

Basically I'm making my studio a better place to be.

Also my fitness Journey.
I have been doing core and strenght workouts each morning for about 1 month.
Every afternoon I run 4Km.
