I have experienced that problem before too. I believe it is because the hosting company spreads its storage between a number of server sites, and one may be blocked while the rest still work for you.
Try the same fix, and don't worry about making changes because it is as simple to change it back to what it was before if you aren't happy with the result. Just write down the settings on a bit of paper.

The above fix only affects the computer that you change, but if you have a number of computers, you can choose to change the DNS setting on your router instead. You would need to look up your specific model to find out how.

Most images that are hosted on Imagetwist will not load for me, I get the hotlinking disabled error image instead. Some work fine, most images in a single post will not load but the odd 1 or 2 will load fine.

I tried disabling all my add-ons in firefox but that had no effect so I tried using Chrome and opera and got the same problem. I also tried changing the DNS to Googles but still no effect.

While I much appreciate S.B.'s willingness to try to help, I achieved the same level of futility that you did with the various fix attempts.

I'm back to roughly 80% of Imagetwist images not loading. I agree wholeheartedly - this host is rubbish, and might as well be banned.

What I find most surprising is the amount of posters who keep on using this host. Personally if I can't see the screencaps...I DON'T DOWNLOAD the file.
Now if everyone else refrained, they would stop using this crappy imagehost in a hurry.

I can't understand why people keep using imagetwist? it's full of spam ads and the thumbnails for every post are not showing up on the forum lately, just broken icons. The long established hosts which always work such as imagebam and imagevenue etc should be mandatory.

People shouldn't have to go through hoops adding ip's and such to make imagetwist work. That host should just be banned from this site period. It's spam filled and buggy. There are other far better imagehosts which don't require any tinkering they just simply work.
