I'll always be on the it should never end to Alvin, Simon or Theodore bandwagon. Whoever gets put against him should lose. Nothing will be gained from an Undertaker loss at WM

Undertaker has something that can never be touched, it can never be matched. a huge piece of WWE history. why waste it ? why even think about it ? and agreed 100% about the ego . He might have said he doesn't mind losing the streak to whoever but deep down I know that is not true . watch me eat my words when Triple H beats him edit Just watching smackdown main event : Daniel Bryan vs Randy Orton in a non title match I was out so I'll give some more thoughts when I see the rest of the show. Listening to Big Show on guest commentary, putting over Bryan, how dangerous his kicks are etc, this I like. Big Show is still a great hand . Surprised Show didn't get up and KO Cole just for being a prick to him. I thought this was a very good match with the expected finish. Bryan showing the intelligence again to avoid an RKO and gets a dq win by going outisde the ring to talk trash to Show . Show attacks Bryan and gets Orton disqualified, pretty much the same as what happened when Mark Henry was on guest commentary a few weeks ago.( I'm waiting for OutOfMind to condemn Bryan ) Orton is not happy about Show costing him the match. He and Show get into it . Bryan leaves with a smirk on his face . |

Has Bryan defended the belt and cleanly won? I'm not talking about some BS get disqualified or escaping from the grasp of show in the cage but actually beaten any higher tier guy cleanly by himself (pinfall or submission) to defend his belt?
He won't ever be seen as a credible champ until he starts beating some folks. |

Speaking of clean wins, he's a heel. Most heels don't win cleanly anyways. Edge barely won cleanly when he was a heel world champion, but I considered him credible before winning the world title as a face. A credible champion to me is someone who performs to the best of their abilities no matter what they are given. Sometimes they aren't able to prove it by questionable booking. Not their fault at times. It's just as important as the title making the man: the man making the title. Thoughts on SmackDown. 1.) No offense to Undertaker, but I'm glad they finally changed the entrance video. He hasn't been in SD for about a year. Sheamus' promo was interesting, because he talked about bullying and whatnot. Which world champion has been bullying? Daniel Bryan. On the verbal side. Great promo by him. Wade Barrett came out and claimed to win the Chamber match, and that he beat Sheamus before. Awesome talk. Cody Rhodes comes out and claims to be a champion and having the right mind for the Chamber. Oh yes, this is getting very interesting. Wade Barrett and Cody Rhodes joked! It's interesting they mentioned Show's streak at Wrestlemania. I think he's only won two in the last two Wrestlemanias! Wow, he is almost the reverse Undertaker. Teddy Long has to make a tag team match out of this. Entertaining opening. 2.) Jinder Mahal put his red headpiece in some case. There was a sign that said "Unleash the Dragon" with an American flag. Ha! Someone knows Daniel Bryan's past. Mahal got squashed by Khali. Yeah. 3.) Teddy Long is a man of action, and apparently he's "long." Daniel Bryan crashed the party! Long should be fired, he held a BBQ. Please make Long tap! God Almighty, that'd be awesome. 4.) Beth got revenge on Alicia Fox! Beth Phoenix and Tamina basically stared down, speaking volumes. Beth looked a little excited for Tamina's challenge. Hmm. 5.) The Rock video looked to be from his eventual DVD realease. Very nice! What wasn't nice was another farting segment with Natalya. While Tyson Kidd appearing was nice, Hornswoggle didn't help things. 6.) A tag team match that was given some time. Great match. Big Show was worked on well by Barrett and Rhodes. Sheamus impressed and finished the match. Show's Spear to Rhodes from behind his partner was also impressive, good surprise. Barrett and Rhodes did a tag team move with a high/low maneuver. Rhodes got a lot of air with his Beautiful Disaster on Show. Basically, the heels looked darn good here. 7.) AJ appearing without Daniel Bryan. AJ close to full recovery, but then Cole stole the mic and joked a bit. She directed her comments toward Cole about his Daniel Bryan hate. While this is fine, this gives Cole the spotlight, again. She's right about her criticism though. At least he drove it back to Bryan and the injury situation. Cole was pissing me off a good bit, and it's all kayfabe too. Good job Cole. Bryan did a nature walk during Super Bowl Sunday? That's cool man. I recycle though, and Booker laughed at that comment. Gah, Michael Cole spouting his mouth off, makes me want sock him in the face. Bryan basically weaseled his way out of his main event match with Orton, being personally hurt with AJ. That's funny. This does further hype up this main event that's really big. Overall, nice segment. 8.) I couldn't hear Hunico perfectly, his music covered his voice. Short match with Ted and Hunico. Hunico worked on the arm, which was smart. It included using the ring post, which made a great sound on impact. Ted won by rollup, ah yeah. That's fine. 9.) Oh God, John Laurinaitis on the phone from Abu Dhabi. It's really funny. Mr. Excitement is back! 10.) Big Show on commentary? Oh boy. Big Show was actually great on commentary. Daniel Bryan ended up getting the win just like his first title defense. It then led to tension between Big Show and Orton, a good way of building the Elimination Chamber. Good, I wanted Bryan to win either cleanly or dirty. He did just that. Now what happened before? A fantastic wrestling match. Orton is in my Fave Five for a reason, as well as Daniel Bryan. Both are two of the best wrestlers today, and they just proved it. With Bryan, Orton was forced to go on the mat game a bit. With Orton's shoulder problems, Bryan exploited that history by attacking the left arm. In a way that isn't seen enough in WWE, and highlights the strengths of this guy. Orton pulled more tricks out of his hat: including the gutwrench neckbreaker and viper like rollup from the corner. It had nice back and forth action, had a great pace, and most of all, showed Daniel Bryan's intelligence and toughness in the match. Booker and Big Show really carried the commentary here and sold the match very well. Somebody better take notes. Twice in two weeks, Bryan had the best match of the 2 WWE shows. With Punk, it's not surprising, given both their backgrounds. Here comes Orton, who's experienced, but not in the Indies, and wrestled a technically pleasing match with Bryan? It shows Orton's actual wrestling talent, and Bryan's versatility in working with anyone. Once again, the champion walks out with the title amidst chaos, and smiles. Great close. |

I enjoyed SD the crowd was pretty good tonight.
I loved how D.Bryan Cock-Blocked old Teddy Long. Also I don't know if someone mention this but, what D.Bryan does in his promos kind of reminded you of what CM Punk did in late 2009-2010 when Punk did that straight Edge angle and talks about how he's a role model and things like that all that left is for A.J. to shave her head and they can become the Vegan-Edge society. I dont know that what D.Bryan reminds me of. |

I'm admittedly biased against Taker (I've never been into his character, from his original debut with the WWF - I remembered him as a jobber in WCCW and then a tag guy that lost a lot in the NWA, so wasn't 'wowed' by his new persona) but I think it's worse business to let him retire with the streak than it'd be to have him finally lose to someone. Him being retired without ever losing at Mania isn't going to help sell future Manias, but him losing a match to someone could help propel that guy to the stratosphere and then sell future shows.
The problem is 'what if the guy they book to beat him flakes out?' (a la Lesnar or Lashley, or something awful like another Benoit situation) ... but with Cena or Sheamus or Orton, that's not as big of a risk, IMHO. Quote:
And on a more recent level, like Seven Churches mentioned, Edge won by BS cheating as a heel champ, too. It's part of being a heel in the WWE, IMHO. As long as the match is good before the cheap ending, it's Ok by me. (damn, lots of acronyms in that post!) |

RE Kahli: The WWE quite often overinflates the size of big men to make them seem bigger. They did it with Andre (7'5" and 525 lbs.), Taker, and Kane too. Perhaps they had Kahli as 7' 3" and 420 lbs. as an inflated size and now when they say he is 7'+ and 347 thats more accurate.
