A long-ass time ago I actually met this girl. When she was relatively fresh off the bus in Los Angeles. Before she was on Buffy. She is incredibly gorgeous (or was) in real life. Very pretty face but especially an incredibly banging body.
She also seemed a bit... sad I guess? Though this is based on a single meeting so she might just have been having a bad day. I also can't believe she turns 50 later this year but I guess that's just a sign of what kind of an old coot I myself have become. |

From Wiki:
While swimming in San Diego in 1991, she and two of her friends were attacked by Henry Hubbard Jr., a former San Diego police officer and serial rapist who attempted to subdue her two male friends at gunpoint. During the struggle, her two friends and Hubbard were all shot, forcing him to flee the scene. Her friends survived. Hubbard was arrested, convicted and sentenced to 56 years in prison for a series of rapes and robberies. Carpenter brought Hubbard's police-issue flashlight from the beach, which he had left at the scene, and the flashlight became a key piece of evidence against him. She actually hosted a Discovery ID show about her case and others. I think it was called Surviving Evil. Worth a look if you are into true crime. |

I was aware of the Charisma Carpenter rape thing. Though it would be a pretty huge coincidence if she was sad-looking because of that when Dickminer met her.
Considering what goes on in Hollywood, she might have just had a bad encounter with a producer or whatever. |

Back to Anna Kendrick for a sec. She recently wrote a book, it is a pretty good read. One story she told was about a fellow and her talking in a group about the gal from The Avengers Emma Peel, who had been in Game of Thrones as an older woman ruler. Her male friend said how he liked Emma Peel in that role, and she said, "Those two guys over there are seemingly disappointed." "About the fact that a woman who is not necessarily sexually attractive has
value." And he told her, pointing to the talkers, "Those guys?" "Fuck those guys!" Take what you want from that, I thought it was kind of fun. And an indication of how she might be a fun hang. |
