I was checking the imgbox and imagebam sites last night to see if they are still online and was surprised to see that imgbox has now removed the notice about shutting down and it is possible to upload images to it again. Could this be a glimmer of hope for a reprieve? Obviously we'll know in a week, but it seems strange they are allowing new uploads.
(imagebam still has the warning)

Phew. At least for a while.
I already started replacing previews and the alternative imagehosts sure aren't without their annoyances. The result of this little operation is that luckily now, I have a extracted all the missing previews (one third of the total), so if it eventually goes down, I have all the previews backed up.

Images bigger than 1 MB are not uploaded to imgbox.com
 Anyone else with same problem?
