From January 16, 2023, new rules for publishing files on Fileboom will apply: in order for a file to be available on FileBoom, it must be placed in a folder with the selected fileboom.me domain (the domain can be set in folder edit mode).
All files that are in folders without a domain, or in the root directory will no longer be available via the links fboom.me/file/…

Thus, the ability to access Fileboom files on other MoneyPlatform projects will be disabled.

We made this decision because the type of content allowed on FileBoom carries high risks for our billing partners and greatly increases the likelihood of all our projects being disconnected from the payment gateway due to complaints from payment systems.

To keep your current files available for users to download, you need to move them to a folder with the fboom.me domain.
Please note: if the folder is linked to your WFO, then if you change the folder domain to fboom.me, files from this folder will not be able to be downloaded. Please consider this.

I am not 100% sure how it will work - but my initial testing shows that ALL K2S links will become unavailable if you like me have posted fboom+k2s links and used the same url with different domain.

the file ID is the same but domain different - i believe many post like this.

So, as I read the above message 1 of 2 things will happen

1) you add fileboom.me as domain in your moneyplatform folder = K2S.cc link will no longer be working.
2) you dont add fileboom.me domain in your moneyplatform folder = fboom.me link will no longer be working.

Or am I missing something here ?

meanwhile holidays are over and FJ is still a often broken 50Kb/s beast in JD.
so i must again (as usual) take my browser for free FJ downloads.

k2s,TZ and fboom all ok in JD but fboom (big changings here soon?) has so far only slugspeed.
filefox works now better but not perfect (interuptions from time to time).

hard times after that end from good old uploaded where all the pornstuff was available in 1080p until the end!

The way I read it is:
- fileboom links must be in a folder with fileboom as the domain = k2s links with the same file ID will no longer work.

- fileboom links that work today will no longer work if they are not in a folder with fileboom as domain.

So one or the other link will die and the forum will be left with trillions of dead links

Unless the rules only apply to files uploaded from January 16

I don't understand the business model with k2s anymore. Why would you purposely make it MORE difficult/expensive for people to access your service? k2s is throwing so many roadblocks nowadays, people just aren't going to jump through all those hoops and pay those prices. I suppose the Ukraine war is playing a role here to some degree, because I think k2s is Russia-based, right? Even so, k2s was playing these games even before that war. You have to use a reseller with k2s because they'll steal your credit card number if you try to pay directly with them. But the resellers either insist on exorbitant fee premiums, or ask you to use sketchy payment processors. All in all, I think the salad days are over with these filehosts, IMO.

I dont trust fboom enough to buy from their list of resellers (that dont accept paypal) or even them if they offered direct purchase unless they offer paypal
