Sense of accomplishment

I figured out what was going on with my throat from the 'Signs you're getting older' thread. As it turns out it was infected from a piece of food I choked on after being too enthusiastic about.

It felt really accomplished and a whole lot better and as a bonus I didn't need to go in to get a culture since it had already been a week.

Now the big accomplishment is once I'm 100% to not get sick at all for the rest of the year.

Once I go for a walk to get food I'll have walked 11.5 miles today. I also took some pictures on my walk today that I'm very proud of.

That's a long freaking walk. That's hours of commitment I can't handle.

Thank you my friend Wallingford and two hours of lawn work is nothing to sneeze at. I'd wager that your two hours of lawn work is more than my three hours of walking and depending on the climate and if you don't have a snow blower the snow shoveling in the winter is amazing intense exercise!

Today I took a shorter walk of just four miles. I also have a blister the size of a marble so that's not good, haha.

No snow shoveling here. Ever.

Two winters I lived in snow country. I was shoveling snow three times a day and eating four meals. I weighed 130 pounds. Not going back to that.

Shoveled the end of the driveway to leave for work. Shoveled at work. Shoveled the end of the driveway to get in from work, literally left the flashers on the car in the middle of the road. Not going back to that.

During the year that I worked at my local movie theater the physical exercise of it was what I enjoyed second to the camaraderie and I was in my best physical shape of my thirties.

Took a short four mile walk yesterday; I really feel that I'm exercising right and when I feel I need to rest, I rest and when I walk, I walk. Not sure what walking will look like when the snow flies, might use the winter months to exercise other parts of my body and my mind.

Visted my father, spent two hours for two mornings working on his yard. Put in another two hours on my own yard.

Wife and I bought a new piece of furniture, it is being delivered next week. We have moved ten pieces of furniture to make room and given away four pieces. I also spent two hours with the vacuum cleaner behind and under the pieces we moved.

That painter I mentioned a few posts ago, he's coming next week as well.

I've installed a new shelf in a closet, sorted and tossed several items relating to that.

We spent today in absolute chill mode before she goes back to work tomorrow and I go back Monday. Lunch was $92.50! Nah, we got four meals to go, so six meals for $92.50.

And still eight projects on the "do" list.
