![]() Tyrant is ok as in, well, watchable...some characters and writing need help though.
Before I actually saw it from the promos I thought it was going to be some strange TV series biopic on Bashar Assad...instead it looks like they just lifted some stuff from his life story I suppose. ![]() |

![]() Currently watching True Blood and Falling Skies.
Waiting for next season of: Game of Thrones; Sherlock (UK version); Dr Who; The Walking Dead. Busy day at work today so there are prob a few shows I've forgotten about from that list due to brain shutdown. |

![]() This probably doesn't count because it's not on broadcast tv but I just assembled every available Doctor Who episode from 1963 to the present, including those "reconstructed episodes that were thought lost forever!
I'm only about half way through the first William Hartnell season, but think I will be at this for the rest of this year and possibly most of next if I really manage to watch it all ![]()

most of my classic stuff is confined to the 4th and 5th Doctors. I've got all of Tom's stuff and I'm probably 2/3rds of the way through Peter's episodes. I found a nice Tumblr blog that has all of the links on Mega, but I don't know if I want to devote all of the space on my externals to the full collection. I tried a few of the re-constructed episodes and I just couldn't do it. |

I loved those older episodes though. Jon Pertwee is my favorite run. Between his take on the character and Roger Delgado's Master (and of course Katy Manning!) it's tough to beat! I never tried an undertaking quite this large. Even sitting through complete runs of things like Star Trek series weren't quite this big, and I do have to work and other real world things. This will be interesting ![]()

but that's what different Doctors are for. Just because I like one doesn't mean you will or vice versa. There's a little something for everyone. Roger Delgado's Master is the one to beat. Sad when an actor who's so good as a certain character dies unexpectedly. Didn't get another decent one until Anthony Ainley came along, and didn't get a really good one until John Simm did it. That how I'd rank them. Delgado & Simm, then the rest... And finally Eric Roberts in a deep dark hole with an armored truck dropped in for good measure. (That's what happens when they let Americans mess with the Doctor.) I hope you enjoy your episodes. I've watched tons of them over the years and you'll have a favorite one and a meh one, and the rest falling in the middle somewhere. Enjoy. ![]() |

![]() Actually, I watch Dr Who the same way I read comic books.
I don't really care much for the heroes, just like I don't really like any of the Doctors a whole lot. I like the villains! (and Katy Manning ![]() So that's why I said "Pertwee's run" as my favorite. He had the best enemies. Roger Delgado's Master, Omega, Axons, Daemons, even his Dalek stories had some of my favorite Dalek scenes (but admittedly, The Daleks are almost always a lot of fun). I liked a lot of the newer villains, but something about the entire presentation of the reboot falls short for me. The stories are good, but I don't care for the story telling. Moffat seems to have a style I just don't enjoy as much as the classic run. But since this is not a Doctor Who discussion thread, I'll point out that I'm also looking forward to a new season of my favorite Trash Show - Ancient Aliens! Their use of not only bad science, but bad pseudo-science (and their stretches of logic) make me laugh so much I can't stop watching it ![]()

For me, the Doctor is the Fourth Doctor. That's who I started watching as a kid until I went away to school, and stopped watching it. That and the Fifth was this insufferably preppy douchebag in a cricket outfit. Cricket. You're from another planet, so you pick the one sport on Earth even humans can't follow ![]() |
