Not only "No," "Hell NO." I remember that Whiner was going around crying in the ring after each match that he lost before he left to ECW. I did not think he deserved to be a champ there and much Less of a WWE Champ. Will he always go crying to his "legal team" to find another "Loop-hole" to get another rematch. I don't think the WWE should have a WHINER as a champion. When Flair lost a match, he would wrestle to get it back. I do NOT recall seeing Flair with his "lawyers" by his side.

Three months ago, Christian was living in obscurity and I had no clue how he had people that liked him enough to actually make signs for him. The character didn't deserve to hold any title, much less the World title, and he certainly doesn't now. He's a lot like Mark Henry in that respect-- he's been around a long time, but he never rose to the top for a reason. That reason on both accounts is spinelessness. Christian couldn't sell sugar to sweet if his life depended on it.
On the note of titles, I can't really say the number of times a person has held a title means anything anymore. That means that the title itself holds no weight, and that is dangerous. It doesn't mean a damn thing if Cena got the WCW--er, WWE title for a tenth time because pro-wrestling title reigns just aren't what they used to be. Now, the WWE has improved greatly over the past month or so, but the first thing it needs to do is bring legitimacy back to the brass rings. |

It was ok with Del Rio having the unified thing, relatively fresh, but established as a contender since January. But Cena winning it AGAIN, just as rio was growing into the role roesn't make a lot of sense. And I'm going to step into the middle of all this heat for Christian and say, evidently, he's damn damn good. :P |

I've been watching since the mid-90s'. The first time I remember seeing Christian was when he was in The Brood, and I actually liked that character more because of the mystique. Over the past five years, though, I just haven't seen anything notable from him. I think the character blows, and I just haven't felt any sort of connection. Yeah, he can wrestle, but you have to sell your reasons for what you do to me. He can win any sub-teir title he wants, but he is lacking on the mic and that's why I don't like him. And I'm not saying that because of this ongoing nails-on-a-chalkboard thing with Orton-- I have never felt that he had any power on the mic. Now, that might be some sort of long-running act. I don't know. I don't know the guy beyond the character and I never claimed to. I just feel like he doesn't have the backbone to be at the top. Then again, no one on Smackdown's current main event roster does. You've got Mr. One-Dimensional Orton, Teddy Bear Henry, and Captain Plainface. This just sucks in my opinion because the WWE has talent that they should be pushing.

Well thought out response! I've been a big fan of Christian's for a long, long time. For me personally, his in ring work and promo ability have always been second to none for me. He can play the cocky heel, the cowardly heel (like he is now) or the funny face. He is one of the last of a dying breed of guys in the company who have had the experience of working through different territories and not just the WWE developmental system. Christian as World Heavyweight Champion was something different and fresh from the usual Orton as champion and they put on a great series of matches.
