Even I've started using DF a bit more.
Though I still use MU for the majority of my posts,
I find some of my MU links seem to get deleted shortly after the Filesonic and oron mirrors get posted.
Not that I'm suggesting any kind of conspiracy or anything.

I try to use DF for the trickier stuff so I can remote it back up from my more protected links elsewhere,
and use MU for the rest to keep myself from becoming just another cash whore.

I've got a rep to protect. I'm Blue dammit..!

Although FAQ says unique download never reset, I think it's not true. Then it would be impossible for everyone to earn. Let me show you a little example - at PlanetSuzy we have got over 300k users (I guess). There are a lot of links in PATM with df. I know this for sure and this is obvious that everyone at least once has downloaded some file. So, if they have downloaded it, how the hell would it be possible I still got counted downloads on DF if I post only to Planetsuzy?

Besides, the system AQ describing is insane. I am almost sure it's like this: someone downloads your file and you are counted one unique download. Then, if this person downloads some file again, you are not counted. 24h passing, the person got again, you are counted.

There are a lot of uploaders and a couple of times more downloaders. If the system they write about works, uploaders will never again see counted downloads, but they still do.

I was thinking the same thing. Seems very unlikely that they could implement a rule like this and attract anyone interested in making a little money if it means they'll just earn less and less, as fewer and fewer downloads are being counted.
