The laundry room being locked after 9pm. How the hell can you dictate when tenants can and cannot do their laundry? That’s bullshit. The laundry room is suddenly a big concern while the incessant barking from the rat dogs down the hall is casually ignored. I’m quickly starting to see a disparity in what I pay monthly and what I actually get. I'm not likely to resign a new lease in April.

Welp, I still don't have my lease to sign and the last time I went in instead of being given a timetable I got a fatalistic, "Just shoot me in the face," followed by more excuses of coming in over the weekend.

I really don't understand. This is something that's been known for TWO MONTHS and I've stopped in every week.

I have one more deadline and if I'm up against it I'm just going to go in and refuse to leave until my lease is signed.

The place I live has rec room next to the office that's only open during the week from 9 - 4. People who work weekdays apparently have no need for recreation.

You know what these assholish grocery stores do? And what they've been doing for a long time? And what they are doing with greater regularity and force lately? Their stores, as we all know, are designed and interiors are set up in order to maximize sales. That's why certain brand names and products are located in specific areas of the store, or on the shelves. But these bloodsuckers take it a step further. You see, these stores are keenly aware of even the most minute of details. They can pinpoint down to the individual can, box, etc. of product which brands and types make them the most money PER UNIT. So their diabolical strategy is to "guide" you along a "spending corridor" during your shopping visit. For example. You know about these lower cost, no-name brand products they have? Their "own" brand names of catsup, cake mix, sodapop, etc? Well, they are NOT designed to save you money. They are designed and priced to get you INTO THEIR STORES where they can then lead you along, prompting you---even at times forcing you---to purchase the products that make them the most money per sale. How do they force you, you ask? It isn't just psychological. It's done through INVENTORY CONTROL. Ever wonder why your local store always has plenty of Product A but not much of Product C? Ever wonder why you have to look so hard to find some brands you like? Ever notice how regularly your store "runs out" of things you usually buy so quickly? Sure. They have "staffing problems" and can't restock as quickly as they would like to. And yet, they always seem to have plenty of the more expensive brands available...even if they only have ten stockers in the aisles at any given time. By limiting your options to buy, they control your choices. You need that can of sauce or that pound of ground turkey or that package of saltines. So maybe you'll cave in and buy the expensive one this time...maybe next time they'll have your preferred discount brand in stock! Except they won't. And you'll start seeing less and less of it. The solution? STICK TO A SHOPPING LIST. DO NOT IMPULSE BUY. LIMIT THE NUMBER OF TIMES PER MONTH YOU SHOP. SEEK OUT LOWER COST STORE ALTERNATIVES. UTILIZE COUPONS. CONTACT THE MANAGER AND VOICE YOUR CONCERN OVER THEIR LACK OF PRODUCT CHOICES. And most of all, bitch bitch bitch as often as you can on social media. Change isn't easy when the big man is holding the pencil.

I have worked in the grocery industry in the past. You need to always shop the "racetrack". The racetrack is the outside isle in the store. That's where you find the fresh produce, dairy, meat, eggs, etc. That is the least profitable area of the store for the grocer. The inside isles and end caps are where the manufacturers pay $$$ for shelf placement for "shelf stable goods". Shop the race track and you will be much more healthy for doing so. Anything "shelf stable" is bad for you, but great for the manufacturer.

Read the ingredients on "shelf stable". If you don't understand it, don't eat it!
