The "AE-1" was a wonderful product in it's day. Never a "pro" camera but actually a "people's" camera. It was light, very easy and not expensive. I think it was the first to have microprocessor technology. This was a happy time in history, even though there was that first oil thing going on. The war was over. Baby-boomers had $$$ and their kids were old enough to go on family vacations. Cannon sold a zillion of these.
