There's a big difference between laying people off because they're surplus to the business' needs and sacking people because they dare to voice an opinion that runs contrary to the cult mantra.
I really don't care too much about the life and death of Twitter though I do think its novel approach at the outset and they way it gave the masses access to those who run the world in one way or another is valuable and served an important purpose. More recently it's descended into mob lunacy and flamewars and I really don't get the need for some to share every thought in their empty head without filter and every moment of the vaccuous lives. Who the hell cares about what your dinner looks like or where you just saw that cutest ever top? FFS. We've made the mundane special and elevated the talentless to the status of Gods. Someone mentioned Kanye West. I read a twitter thread on him once where the general consensus was he's a genius and the greatest musician ever. Google two things. The meeting between him and Trump at the White House and "kanye West Bohemian Rhapsody live". Watch and listen and be amazed. The best summation I ever came across of people on social media is "... they have access to the sum of all human knowledge in the palms of their hands and each one holds more computing power than the whole of NASA when they put Neil Armstrong on the moon and they use it to share pictures of tits and cats". The world that thinks Donald Trump is the best leader the Free World has ever had & Kanye West has more talent than any musician in human history also thinks Elon Musk is one of the greatest ever thinkers and businessmen. The end is much closer than we think.

How are Tesla's "autopilot" fails and subsequent deaths (murders) not a bigger story than Volkswagen's Dieselgate? How is Tesla not shut down for multiple cases of 2nd degree murder? How is Musk not in prison? Put simply, the guy lies and people die. Quote:

It even tells you if there was a "Verified Tesla Autopilot Death". And there's a bunch. With his growing cult following and his car's growing popularity, any one of us could be next. A Tesla goes nuts and swerves into the wrong lane and boom, head on with your car. I don't want to be a statistic on some website calculating Electric Jesus' death toll.

Just to be clear. The only place where people believe Musk is the answer to life the universe and everything and Tesla cars are popular is USA.
In Europe Asia the Middle & Far East the majority wouldn't take a Tesla car if it was free and think Elon Musk is a cunt. And the answer to life the universe and everything is 42

I wouldn't get a Tesla car, too, considering that many other great reputable manufacturers, who have been in the market way longer than Tesla, already make excellent working cars.
Toyota, Hyundai, Suzuki, Nissan, but even Ford, already make great hybrid/electric cars with almost everything you can ask for. Even Boeing is already working in making an electric flying vehicle with Porsche......so. Who needs Tesla, other than the Hardcore Musk Fanboy?

Exactly. BMW, Mercedes, Even Fiat and Renault all now have strong all electric or hybrid options and the Audi electric models are top class.
A few weeks ago I took a PHEV Landrover Defender cross country for a test drive and it was a lot of fun. The only offroader I've ever driven that was more fun was a Bolo Wildcat. The Landrover also handled like a dream on the road and it's definitely top of my list for 2024 when I upgrade. Meanwhile Teslas can't steer & there are questionmarks over battery reliability. That's a hard pass

Yes, there have been some deaths linked to Tesla, but then again there have been huge numbers of deaths on conventional motor vehicles, and these go up day by day. We need to be able to distinguish electric vehicles from self diving ones. I hope that one day self-driving vehicles will be safe enough to take over and reduce significantly road traffic accidents. But if nothing is ventured, nothing is gained. As for Musk, we cannot ignore his achievements in space. He may be a capitalist, a bad employer (easy to be one in the USA where people can be fired for no reason effective immediately), and an asshole, but he is a pioneer in the non-government space exploitation. I don't like him, but it's not all bad where he is concerned.

I can ignore that completely.

There are better CEOs and many more innovative thinkers. Musk developed cult status in the USA and over there it is money in the bank, a guarantee of big buck backers and a popular following that doesn't like admitting it made a mistake. That's why people like Bernie Madoff, Harvey Weinstein, Elizabeth Holmes, Donald Trump, and Jeffrey Epstein have been loved worshipped and adored. These people flourish until everyone drowns in their bullshit. Even then some of them are the turds that refuse to be flushed and that some die hard worshippers wish they could ram back up their asses. The latest developments on Twitter, reinstating Trump and West, have cause the Anti Defamation League, one of Twitter's biggest charity partners, to express concerns and a leaning towards disassociating itself from the platform. Some of the biggest advertising partners are also openly talking of pulling their business. But it's not all bad, eh?

I really want a fast, electric car, but not if it lines Musk's pockets.

Corvette currently produce the fastest straight line road legal EV in the Genovation GXE which can do 0-60 in about 3 secs and cruise at 180mph. To me it looks like a Subaru clone but that could just be me
The spaciest design comes from Japan. It's the Aspark Owl. The classiest is the Aston Martin Rapid E which owes much of its looks to the Vanquish. For all terrain The Ladrover Discovery PHEV is top line in luxury offroad driving and the Defender is basically a very very comfortable tank. Both do well in urban settings but they are big motors and this can be an issue in some places. If you want a fast reliable and affordable urban car you can't go wrong with the Nissan Leaf or for a little more the Audi Q4 e-tron. Fuck Tesla and the tow truck you'll be going home on.
