Bobby Roode may be in a different promotion, but his name still gets sold short by ring announcers. And that theme song is awful, must be short for 'Glorious piece of crap'.

I like how WWE act like Stephanie and Nikki Bella made up Give Divas A Chance when in actuality it was spawned from AJ berating Steph for the treatment of women and making a goof out of her. But they, of course, spin it so Steph and Nikki are the big heroes.

It's probably in like 50 botchamanias where it's Bobby Roooooooooo..., I'd say they need to have Aries/Roode tag again but NXT has a good heel team right now in The Revival.

Hey guys, now you all must admit that Heath Slater has been the best part of Raw and Smackdown lately. That heartfelt interaction he had with Lesnar made for gripping television. Here was a man going to his doom but he knew he had to do it to feed his family! And then he actually beat Orton by DQ but the contract was taken away from him by those dastardly Shane and Bryan!
Also I'm a little bummed since all the other wrestling fans I know are going to the WWE events in NY this weekend. Everyone's got either tickets for NXT, or Summerslam, or Raw. But I don't have enough money to afford it. Oh well. There's always the network. |

The biggest detriment to the women's division last year is back.

I wish they would stop calling Finn Balor the Demon King.
I keep hearing Demon "Kane" all the time. Besides, he looks more like Spiderman's Venom than a Demon anyway.

That event went to hell after the Cena/AJ match, crowd didn't care after it. Sasha vs Charlotte was good but sloppy as hell and no wonder why Sasha will take some time off (again) to heal up some injuries, she really is trying to kill herself with those spots.
Both championship matches were kinda meh, they ruined the demon by presenting him on RAW last Monday and the main event sucked, I am just tired of the Suplex City bullshit and if this leads to a Shane-Lesnar match this is gonna suck

I was back and forth on if having the demon Finn on Raw was a good or bad idea, I settled on good because they were trying to sell how big a deal it is and getting the casual fans to either buy the PPV or sub the network. It's the same reason why the Lesnar match got so much hype; it's not for us, it's for the people who only watch Raw maybe once a month. I think that lowest common denominator type of appeal is why we got the match they had; casuals want to see Brock wreck shit, the consistent fans don't really need to see Brock at all at this point. I suspect Brock is getting hit with the fake as hell 'indefinite suspension' from Steph as a write-off/punishment for the UFC drug test thing(which has a hearing pretty soon I think). When he comes back I don't know, I don't really care and I really hope to hell it's not for a match with Shane.
Finn/Seth was good, I think they were really lazy on the belt design. It's just the other belt with a red strap and what looks like plastic with 'universal champion' over where it says 'world heavyweight champion' on the other belt. The win means the rocket is firmly on Finn's ass and we'll see how it goes from here. Ambrose/Ziggler wasn't really what I expected it to be, it wasn't bad I just figured it would be more than it was. And it kinda ended suddenly too, but we all knew Dean was winning that. Cena/Styles probably match of the night for me and I admit that's a bit by default but it was a very good match. A bit surprised AJ won even though I had predicted it since you never know when the 'LOL Cena wins' will strike. Sasha/Charlotte was average and I agree a bit sloppy. The spot where Sasha gets thrown on the top rope I thought was a botch at first because of the somewhat casual way Charlotte landed. That spot just looked wrong. Hopefully Charlotte dumps Dana because if this goes back to how it was a month ago... Nikki is back(and not the worst thing about the women's division last year) gets a huge pop and is a heel...just seems like a miss somehow. I think Nikki does works better as a heel just that return mucks it up a bit. The crowd was dead for most of that match not even getting much hype when Becky had her rush. Decent match but I wonder if the crowd buzzkills the building of Smackdown's women divison(which now includes Nikki). |

I only saw the last half of Summerslam but I didn't think it was that bad. Lesnar cutting Orton open was a real shame. Obviously wasn't supposed to go down like that but I wonder what the real finish was supposed to have been? And the Shane thing was stupid. Why wouldn't D-Bry come out instead? Rusev vs. Reigns wasn't even a match. That was lame. Loved how 16,000 people were chanting, "We want Slater," though. The 6 woman tag match was decent. I had a feeling Nikki would come back and get her team the win. Rollins/Balor was terrific. That should have been the main event. Ziggler/Ambrose was decent. I also saw the end of the New Day match, which was dumb. Wasn't a bad show overall. |
