Diana Rigg, The Avengers and Game of Thrones star, dies aged 82

Her agent released a statement saying that "[Rigg] died peacefully early this morning. She was at home with her family". She died from cancer which was diagnosed back in March.

The actor Diana Rigg, known for her roles on stage and in film and television –including the The Avengers (Not the superheroes) and On Her Majesty’s Secret Service – has died at the age of 82.

Rigg, who rose to prominence in the 1960s thanks to her starring role as Emma Peel in in The Avengers alongside Patrick Macnee, enjoyed a long and varied career, playing Lady Olenna Tyrell in HBO’s smash hit Game of Thrones, a show she admitted in 2019 that she had never watched. She also played Countess Teresa di Vicenzo, or Tracey Bond, James Bond’s first and only wife to date, in the 1969 film On Her Majesty’s Secret Service.

Clark Middleton, actor on The Blacklist and Twin Peaks, dies at 63

Actor Clark Middleton, best known for appearing in The Blacklist and the recent Twin Peaks revival, has reportedly died after battling the West Nile Virus. He was 63.

“With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of a life eminently worthy of celebration: Clark Tinsley Middleton, 63 — beloved actor, writer, director, teacher, hero, husband, beacon, friend,” his wife Elissa said in a statement obtained by Variety. “Clark transitioned on October 4th as a result of West Nile Virus, for which there is no known cure. Clark was a beautiful soul who spent a lifetime defying limits and advocating for people with disabilities.”

EW has reached out to representatives for Middleton for confirmation.

Middleton was best known for acting in 13 episodes of NBC's The Blacklist as Glen Carter, a DMV employee and tracker for Raymond Reddington. The actor also portrayed Audrey Horne's (Sherilyn Fenn) husband Charlie in Showtime's Twin Peaks revival in 2017.

His other TV credits include Fringe, The Path, Law & Order, Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D., American Gods, and Gotham. On the big screen, Middleton appeared in films like Sin City, Kill Bill: Vol. 2, Snowpiercer, and Birdman.

James Randi, retired stage magician and noted skeptic, died on Tuesday October 20, at the age of 92.

He was the founder of the James Randi Educational Foundation, a foundation that sponsors a challenge offering a prize of $1,000,000 to anyone who can demonstrate evidence of any paranormal, supernatural or occult power or event (a prize that has never been claimed).

Aside from his foundation and his work as a stage magician, the Amazing Randi was known for exposing Peter Popoff as nothing more than a con artist. He was also instrumental in proving that Uri Gellar was a fraud. He also performed on stage both as a mad dentist and as an executioner during Alice Cooper's 1973–1974 Billion Dollar Babies tour. He also built several of the stage props, including the guillotine.
