I find it very annoying and confusing, why pornstars always use so many different names. Is there a good reason why a pornstar has 5-6 different names? It makes it hard to follow them.

I only wrote that because I saw a new Mandi Dee scene, where she is called Jenna Spencer. Normally I like dark haired women but she is my favourite blond girl. You know since when she is using this new name?

You can also talk about others with several name changes

I agree that it for the most part seems unnecessary and just makes it harder to find their material. On this site the staff does a very good job at keeping things well organised and tidy, since there's just one thread per pornstar, but the long thread titles still add considerable confusion. On most sites there's just a complete mess, though...

OTOH, there are some rare cases where I think a name change makes sense. For example, when that petite girl formerly known as Mirage bleached her hair blonde and drastically pumped up hear breasts she became the superstar known as Briana Banks. In that case her namechange provided an easy way to distinct between the "old" and "new" Briana, which IMO represented a transformation big enough to warrant a new "identity".

yes. In that case it really is like two different girls. that makes sense. I like it too, that they write all known names in the threads of each girl. But sometimes I like visiting other sites, because I don't like the fact that so many threads seem to use k2s without alternatives

Often you will find that it's the model agency who owns the copyright and/or trademark for some performers' names. So if the model in question leaves that agency to join another or to be a free agent, invariably it means adopting a new stage name.
