I just wish all the file host sites would accept Paypal.
Its so much safer. I have had my Mastercard used again and I have to get a new one! Paypals charges are nto very high and now that they are no longer part of ebay. And who wants to use Bitcoin - not me.

My first test to see if a site should get my money is how they promote their service through the free user option. Rapidgator has failed since they have very strict download time requirements which denies you access if there captcha isn't input correctly or within a minute which leads to a one hour wait to try again. Then the issue of deadlinks and incomplete downloads. Although the rare time I've used it were successful, I usually avoid this site.

I was a premium user for quite a while and in the early mornings until say 3pm EST they had good speed. In the evenings their speed drops to nothing almost as bad as a free user. Guess when the traffic goes up in the evening the speed of their servers gets taxed and overloaded. Switch to another company and the speed is fine so I know its not my internet service or internet traffic. Has to be something at their end.

Never had the speed problems, but did have the drop outs even on premium, I don't bother renewing now.

I am the first guy to get spikey and unpleasant when PS allows dodgy filehosts to be used here.
In the past this attitude of mine made me very unpopular among certain sections of the Staff (I was nevertheless right in the issues I raised). But in the case of Rapidgator I haven't really experienced any problems: in my case it pretty much has the same performance and usability as DepositFiles. I am UK based (London), and my ISP is TalkTalk. I totally accept that many here are having problems with this host, but in the light of my experience I tend to suspect that there might be some territory and/or ISP issue and that somehow Rapidgator ended up an a list of services to be curtailed. Even though I have no problems with it, the simple fact that many of my fellow members do makes me want to request that this host be removed from the allowed list here on the Planet surface.

There's a 400MB per file download limit now, before it would let me download bigger ones than that. So somewhere along the lines in the past month or so (the last time I downloaded from there) they've changed their rules, just though I'd put that out there.
