The Estate
A serious comedy drama which includes Anna Faris and Toni Collette about a family member dying and how two sisters try to win the estate. There is a funny twist of an ending to this, but this just shows how in real life, how such matters tear families apart and how greed can corrupt them. Film is quite serious in places so this is not one of those laugh out loud comedies.

Pearl
If you seen the film X, you will love this film as it serves as a prequel. It stars Mia Goth who i feel is a gem in this kind of film genre. This film didn't go over the top with blood and gore, but yet made the film very chilling for the viewer as you watch through the lens of the main character. Those emotions she portrayed makes you feel like you would do the same things in her shoes. As this is a prequel, it doesn't impact on anything if you watch this before X, but you definitely need to watch both and the upcoming film in the series Close A powerful film about two teenage boys at the height of their friendship who slowly drift apart like many do growing up. They seem to be a unbreakable together, but this closeness they both have, seemed to be implied as them being a couple by their peers, and this impacted their friendship from that moment. The film gave off a more documentary feel rather than a actual film

Bitch Ass
Film feels like one where the hunters become the hunted, or in other words where you end up feeling for the baddies as they end up playing games to save their lives when they enter someones house to rob them. Film is quite low budget so i don't expect this to be a film to be blown away about. It's good to pass the time. The kills were gory which adds some points to the film Blue Bayou A great powerful film, where the theme of the film is about immigration and how someone who has been living in the USA for many years is in fact in the country illegally and faces deportation. The beautiful Alicia Vikander plays his wife. Both she and Justin Chon play their roles perfectly with their performances and emotions as they go through what many people to this day go through. As a POC myself this can be relatable for us, even though the difference here is it involves a Korean man. A thing to take from the film is even though you have the legal paperwork, the government can suggest a cock up and say mistakes have been made years ago where it wasn't processed correctly, so to never take citizenship for granted.

A Banquet
Alot to make out of this film. Loss grief, mental illness and what happens next and where we go from here all rolled into one. As the film goes you contemplate whether the daughter was chosen to do something, or if its all in her head. The film is quite slow which i think helps you to decide as the film switches between two girls POV's

We Need to Talk About Kevin
A great film but one that is hard to watch due to the topic matter of hand of ones son whose condition takes a dark turn as he turns into a psychopath as he grows up. Tilda Swinton plays the Mum. This can hit home to any one whose child is on the spectrum. One Way To Denmark A comedy drama with great social commentary about the lengths someone will do to get arrested in Denmark and get sent to prison as the prisons are better than that of the UK. This is quite funny to say this is probably correct.

Father Of The Bride
Think of this as a more modern version of the classic with Steve Martin. This may not hit the same cult nostalgia feel of that film, but least it gives it a more updated feel to it though with a Cuban American family. Film also stars Chloe Fineman so will give this extra points. Becky Quite hard to see Kevin James in a serious role than his comedy ones, but he pulls this off well as the villain. Think of the film being a younger child version of John Wick as the girl has to save her family from convicts. The film has elements of home alone too but without it being a comedy

The Many Saints of Newark
Soprano vibes as this goes through the life of Tony Soprano and the influence he has to being one of the most well known mob bosses of all time. The film isn't all that but can serve as some what a prequel to the well known series though which seems to be a way better watch.

Ralph Breaks the Internet
If you seen the 1st film, you will love this. The sequel may not hit the same as the 1st film but it's very good viewing for you and/or the family to watch together. Alot of the same characters and actors return to reprise their roles. The film does highlight a point on how the internet has taken a centre point of our daily lives, not just with gaming and due to this going to the arcade isn't much a thing anymore. A Cock and Bull Story A comedy with the geniuses that are Steve Coogan and Rob Brydon. If you are a fan of these two especially with the british comedy, you will love this.

People Just do nothing : Big in Japan
The cast make it to the big screen. Originally from the tv series. I feel the series was better and this film is a 6 out of 10 but it's worth seeing. I recommend you watching the series 1st before the film. Ending leaves alot to be desired, but depending on box office reviews there could be a second film. The Royal Hotel Film stars Julia Garner as the film is in rural Australia. If you enjoy character studies about people and places then this is a good film to pass by for 90 mins. It's not a happy film nor a true horror. An indie film describes it best. The film is a horror in the sense that human nature can be a scary thing to predict.

Shaolin Soccer
A great laugh if you into comedies and football. I believe this is from the same makers of Kung Fu Hustle, so if you seen it and love it, you probably will enjoy this. Like alot of these films that air in the UK, you get horrible dubbing so if you can watch with subs please do. Thats my only bug for the film
