Maybe the ricin is for Jesse? Walt can swap it out for his coke and let Jesse snort his way to the afterlife.

When Walt was sitting there in the plaza after getting the phone call, for the first time in a long time (maybe since season 1) I actually felt a little sorry for him (it's kind of amazing that the show could get that out of me after all Walt has done). Realizing his relationship with Jesse is likely un-salvageable at this point probably hurts as much as anything he's dealt with since his decision to break bad. But more than that, his feelings for Jesse is one of the last vestiges of humanity he has left (perhaps not has strong as his feelings for his family, but certainly more of a focus of the show's narrative). It's beautiful irony that now everyone around him is advising him against the action that may represent the last gasp of Mr. Chips. They know he's gone too far to salvage his humanity more than he does.

This, of course, is all just speculation....
I think Walt's going to use the ricin on himself: "Suicide Ain't Painless" There may be a moment of realization where he recognizes what a monster he has become, decide on penance, then clean up the whole meth scenario with his big ole M60(?); poetic that he started the whole thing so he logically should end it. "It's not over until I say it's over." He'll then punish himself with the poison... a gun suicide would be too cowardly and easy... The cruelty of the punishment of poison will be logical in his guilty state of mind. Mr. Chips will defeat Heisenburg with a deserved vengence. I don't think that his family being killed will be the trigger for this action, that might be a bit too much to kill off the completely innocent, but it will obviously be a huge moment to trigger his final solution, perhaps a really true heart to heart with Jesse ranting and raving about his deeds. Since Walt sees Jesse as a son, this reality check might just be enough to push him over the edge towards the recognition of truth. His suicide note, if he leaves one, will be to protect Jr. from the meth-plot truth, so he will blame cancer and his inability to go on... better this lie than the truth. There is the possibility that Todd and his cohorts kidnap Walt's family to force him into helping them up the quality of the meth, and that becomes the trigger... who knows, maybe they will kill off Walt's family as it would fit within a moral of "bad gets punished". After Walt gives Saul the lottery ticket and tells him to take care of his family (if they weren't killed)...Saul will go on to a lucrative career in his spin-off.. "Defending Bad" (fingers crossed.) The money may just stay exactly where it is and give it that "Fargo" mythology, THEN Saul will go on to a lucrative career in his spin-off. bwahahahahahahaa. cheers

Who is the only one who doesn't know Walt is Heisenberg? Walter Jr.
another theory: Jesse kidnaps Walter Jr., tells him everything, and threatens to kill him unless Walt publicly confesses and surrenders. -- I think Jesse might have a hard time selling this plan to Uncle Hank. That said, if Walt Jr. does finally learn the truth then Walt's reaction is going to be fascinating. I could see Jr. finally siding with Skyler for example - and if he pleaded with Walt t

don't drink and drive, but if you do, call me
I also thought Hank was going down once he said I love you , then the amateurs show up and shoot everything else apart from their targets. I was pretty sure Hank's partner would get it, but nah, they missed him too. Not even going to try and guess what happens next. |

Walter truly fell for 'the banana in the tailpipe' trick.
As smart as he is...disappointing. If at least one of the two cops don't get killed, I'm calling bullshit. Just saying. Still a great show.
