I liked Drew's chosen one gimmick, but there was something missing from his matches at the time. I agree that he was kind of bland, but he had potential. Then he got beat up by a girl, and down he went, never to return. I remember thinking that he and Sheamus would have made a good tag team, or pair them with Wade Barrett and do a whole United Kingdom group. But Sheamus went to the main event, Wade went to the mid card, and Drew became a jobber. Still I would like to see him get pushed along with the rest of 3 MB, not in spite of them, because they are great together and very entertaining. And, hey! WWE! Why no Rhinestone Cowboys on either Smackdown or Main Event this week?! They were trending on Twitter!
Also I know I am in the minority, but I like The Ryback. His matches leave a lot to be desired, but he's got an interesting attitude and I like how he talks to himself and has all those catchphrases. Plus his moveset is good for a power guy. And I like his theme music a lot. |

The latest JBL and Cole show features a bear (guess who?) getting kicked in the nuts by Renee Young.
Sorry to steal your thunder 7C! This was too good to resist! What I like about 3 MB is that despite losing almost every match on TV, they do a great job at making their opponents look good. All three of them.

Batista was in the best form of his life when he left, I never truly gotten over that disappointment when he quit. Keep entertaining me I begged. He should come back and verbally put Cena in his place again! It was an epic time, a crusader to get behind. Haters are currently supposed to get behind Sandow but he seems to have backed off, now there is no one facing up the SuperCena. No one gives a crap about Alberto. The only time I liked him was when he was beating up and injuring Mysterio lol.

Thoughts on Smackdown
1.) So the Smackdown intro video actually played in this video, and rather than Sheamus being the first image of the video, it's Cena. Fitting nowadays. The show starts with a tag team title match: the Brothers Rhodes vs. the Real Americans. JBL put Cole in his place, as Cole made a generic comment about the Rhodes Brothers working so hard to be tag team champions. The truth is, they didn't. They got their job back one week, got tag team titles the next. Now JBL clarified, they won the tag team titles in an awesome match. He's right, but Cole tried to defend himself, basically circling around the argument. That's nothing against the Rhodes, but Cole spun it like it was a lifelong journey to the tag team titles. That's just not true. Great match though, as the Rhodes showed that they deserve to be tag team champions. On the other hand, so do the Real Americans. They have really grown and solidified as a tag team, and so did Cody and Goldust. It lasted over 10 minutes, really setting the bar high up for this show. A degree of excitement came about, with nearfalls to boot. The Giant Swing made its way here, feeling like it's been a long time since it was last seen. Goldust in particular was put in the Ankle Lock. The hold that made him tap out in the previous encounter. That didn't happen, as Cody made the save. After he and Cesaro were out of the ring, Swagger got put in the Final Cut for a successful title defense. Zeb Colter wasn't happy. 2.) The Ryback in the ring, saying how he loves being a bully. He called everyone "feed me morons" and said he could push everyone around. So he issued an open challenge, and it's Khali. UGH! It was short, The Ryback's clothesline was fine, then Shell Shocked, then that's it. Khali and The Ryback is an awful pairing. Stop booking it, please. 3.) AJ Lee and Tamina are talking when Vickie came in. She blamed Brad Maddox for the humiliation she and the guy suffered on RAW. Not blaming AJ, and she said AJ should prove she's a true leader. So she booked AJ in a 2 on 1 handicap match against the Funkadactyls. AJ claimed her ankle's dinged, but Vickie got the word from a doctor that AJ's cleared. AJ was about to flip out, thinking Vickie's punishing her. She was, Vickie though claimed it's "best for business." Oh stop it, Vickie should be punished some more for "fainting" multiple times. 4.) There was a nice video of John Cena at Oxford, and his picture taken joins a pretty prestigious wall of pictures. Ronald Reagan, Albert Einstein, the Queen of England. And now John Cena! Interesting. 5.) Handicap match booking continues, AJ vs. Funkadactyls, and they don't have to tag in and out. Well the black women chased AJ out of the ring, they shoved Tamina for some mean reason. So Tamina reacted by strangling and knocking Cameron out of consciousness. So it became AJ and Naomi in a 1 on 1 affair. Cameron came back and stopped Tamina from interfering, AJ kicked Cameron off the apron, Naomi hit her rear end, AJ got pinned. Are you fucking kidding me? You're telling me that an ass to the face finishes off the fucking Divas Champion? UGH, that's stupid. At least Naomi wasn't botching and was pretty solid. 6.) When Bray closes his eyes, he sees memories and stuff. He's convinced that the world needs more revolution, not revolutionaries. This leads to Punk and Bryan, implying they are revolutionaries. They are as a matter of fact, but Bray doesn't think so. Bray said his father told him something, which is strange because I don't think IRS would say any of that stuff. Anyways, he said they are guided by "her hand" which I assume is the ghost, Sister Abigail. Follow the buzzards, IRS made that up. Back to Bray referring to Punk and Bryan as revolutionaries. That's true, because they broke down walls in the WWE system, creating a more lenient stance on indy wrestlers and the acceptance of those entities, rather than try and train everyone in wrestling from ground zero. That's still prevalent with the WWE Performance Center, but it's not the undisputed norm. 7.) The Shield vs. The Usos and the Man of 1000 Knee Surgeries, Rey Mysterio. Hehehehe. Well it was pretty important to analyze and see if Rey's knee would get negatively affected in this match. They protected the guy well. He only came on a hot tag after minutes of action. So well timed on that, enough to get the fans popping for that hot tag. Note who Rey specifically exchanged with. Seth Rollins, who given his athleticism, makes him a suitable seller for Rey's offense. Also the fact Rey really just did his normal shit. It's only great because of the fact he's been gone for so long. As the match progressed, Roman Reigns did next to nothing to Rey. He held the guy up, and got countered, that's it. Now I mention Reigns because that guy hurts people. Not accidentally or anything, just his style and all. The spears to the Usos demonstrate. Rey basically did more offense than taking offense. I think only a handful of things were done to him. A clothesline from Ambrose, and I can't think of others. Just countered more than actually attacked. So to put it in simple terms: Rey was protected in this match. He looked great as a result, and hopefully he'll get his groove going. I hate to see the man go away again, just after coming back. He got the pin on Ambrose, which is telling of what will happen at Survivor Series. They gave the glory to Rey on free TV. Will they do it again? Pretty good 6 man match, but I have a hard time remembering the Shield tangling with Rey last year. Commentary said they're part of the reason Rey was gone on injury. I can't remember. A year can be pretty long. 8.) This is so easy. You see, it's Big Show + Randall + Video packages. Big Show first in the ring, reminding that he hasn't held the WWE title in over 10 years. 11 to be exact, and that last title win was at Survivor Series! He beat Brock Lesnar. So he's trying to make a case for him being WWE Champion, but I'm not convinced. Randall came out, and then came the video packages. Big Show felt like showing Randall, rather than telling him stuff. So he showed a recap of Hunter and Steph being confronted by Randall backstage on RAW. He then talked and said Randall was "handed" the WWE title. The thing though was he tried to say Randall was someone that was only did whatever benefited Randall. Biding his time to be handed something, rather than being the face of the WWE that Big Show said should've happened years ago. How I interpreted it, he's talking to Randall as if he's a one-hit wonder. As if that one hit was handed to him. Hey man, Randall's an 11 time world champion, that doesn't come from being handed shit. Well, there was his very first WWE Championship, being handed to him from Vince (No Mercy 2007), but shhh, that's not the point. Anyways, then Big Show wanted to present a video that explains every time Randall's one on one with Show, he gets destroyed. Randall clutched the championship title, Big Show said he better keep doing it, because he'll lose it. This is the only segment where Big Show and Randall are alone to hype their title match. It...bombed. It didn't hype me up for the match, and the video packages really hid stuff, rather than accentuate. Big Show wasn't convincing, Randall wasn't given a lot of ring and was put in his place pretty easily. I think the silver lining though is Big Show bringing up the point that Randall's been destroyed by Show when they're one on one. So this prompts Randall to make a necessary turnaround...and punt Big Show in the head! 9.) Here's a funny fact. This specific commentary on the tag team match between Ziggler/Langston and Axel/Sandow, was typed after the show. Yeah I skipped this somehow. Maybe that was my mind doing me a favor, because this match was just so freaking insignificant, it was near mind boggling. There was nothing to note, the match didn't escalate, warming up, nothing. It went on one speed, and to make things aggravating, Damien Sandow got pinned. By Langston, sure, but this just makes me want to give up on positive thinking for Sandow and his immediate future. There's been no hints at him continuing his targeting of John Cena this week, as he jobbed to Ziggler on RAW, and went down for the team here. If this keeps up, WWE will prove that the only failed cash ins that work, are from established megastars, i.e. John Cena. 10.) Celebrities in this Smackdown. Josh Reddick, the loser of the beard off with Daniel Bryan was there, notice him sporting a much thinner beard. Hehe. Anyways, Renee Young taking a cue from Big Show. Rather than articulate and talk, she has to show a video package. A recap of Del Rio's attacks to Cena over the weeks. As if Del Rio needs it. I mean, he did deliver those moments, how the hell can he forget that? Then she showed Cena's turnaround from RAW. Del Rio talked, saying he will make Cena pay, hurt him bad, and he's not looking at Renee during this. He's not looking at the camera. He's looking at...I don't know. Bold words, saying he'll make Cena tap out. Good luck with that bro! 11.) Terry Silver, the bearded version, main events Smackdown against Luke Harper. Cole talked about Harper being lost until Bray found him and giving him confidence and power. You can translate that to Harper being just a good hand in the indy circuit, and now being a pretty significant part of WWE TV nowadays. Thanks Bray. Anyways, very nice match here, with Harper being given room to do a lot of power moves, doing a number on Daniel Bryan, Then Bryan's comeback shifted the tide, briefly. Bryan ended up on the outside, being surrounded by Harper and Rowan, when CM Punk came to stop any possible attack on Bryan. He just stood on the stage. Harper got distracted and suffered from the unbreakable Daniel Bryan small package pinning combination for the win. So unlike their first bout, there was a clear winner and Rowan didn't get his Ginger beard on it. Unfortunately the time to celebrate was nonexistent. Bryan's face got the big boot. CM Punk attempted to fight against the Family, but stood no chance. Wyatt closed the show by planting Bryan down after having a face of orgasm. Cool, but perhaps I gave this show too much expectation. Hearing commentary plug the feature matches here, and them saying the show would "wet your appetite" for Survivor Series, I was thinking a very strong show heading to Survivor Series. Not necessarily, but not all bad. Also, no John Cena in the building. I guess it was better to have Cena talk about being on a prestigious gallery featuring Albert Einstein. Because you know Cena is the Albert Einstein of WWE. Actually, he said that about Edge in his DVD. |

imagine how great Ken Shamrock would have been if he had some charisma. I was watching an MMA documentary ( I put it in the are you bored thread. it is very good) Ken Shamrock was in it and I started to think about his WWF career. I changed my prediction to a Dragon Kai win, but I have this feeling the Wyatt's will win and maybe the shield help them. my mind is going all different directions. I pretty much stole the dq prediction from ptenisnet. At least I wont lie |

This week on the JBL and Cole show, the two guys were planning to celebrate episode 53, making it 1 full year since they've been doing this. This drew the ire of guys who had previous Youtube shows. Ever heard of WWE Download?
Foreign Exchange? Are You Serious? This somehow made me think of Anchorman, the news teams battling each other over who is number 1. So the guys got their weapons. Santino obviously had the Cobra. JBL abandoned Cole, so he was assaulted with no help. Jerry Lawler acknowledged the rumor that Andy Kaufman faked his own death, so he invited the guy to the JBL & Cole Show for next week. If they got Jim Carrey for this, that'd be awesome. Strangely enough, Sandow came in with a hat on. He sang a song to celebrate JBL and Cole's 1 year landmark. No image host takes an image over 10MB, so the file had to be uploaded to a filehost. It's the whole song... JBL didn't like Cole's crying, so he humiliated him. Renee was left alone, when a bear came skipping past her. He had an affinity for Big E. Langston's pecs. So did this guy. Ladies dig the pecs. Then Renee and the bear met, but I won't steal Ptenisnet's stealing of my thunder . So skip to what happened after the low blow. 69 position... Daniel Bryan's 2-0 against bears. Steve Austin's podcast with Dusty Rhodes featured the news that Bryan will be a guest on his show soon! |
