How do you organise your porn?

I watch most of my porn online now, but what I do have is sorted by the name of the girl, along with a brief description in the filename.

I would just have my porn in whatever hard drive it's in. When trying to select porn, I usually select the file with larger size. Right now, I watch the porn, delete it, and maybe download it in the future. So for space purposes, I'd knock out the larger file sizes. Trying to find a specific performer would be a pain though, and would take long. Some performers had scenes that were very low in size and I would hardly touch them. As I've freed up space, I cared less about file size, but still have a hard time deciphering what the filenames lead to. Sometimes I'd open the file to see what's up, not what I want at the time, and switch, switch, and maybe switch some more until I get the particular performer and/or scene I want.

Just today I've been organizing all my porn. My separation of files is based on performers. So I have a folder for say, Lisa Ann. I'd move all her files (had to look at them to see if I'm right) to the respective folder. Some performers aren't well known, so there are niche folders. There's a JOI one for Jerk off instructional since I downloaded a lot of that. There's one for Hairy women, one for general lesbian scenes with performers whose content I don't have multiple files on. One for Solo. There's one for Euro lesbians. So basically, folders, by models and/or niches.

I should've done this months ago. Laziness.

Hey,
I am a programmer and I'm planning to write a software, which would help to organise porn collection - or movies in general.
Some of the features I figured out lately:
- tagging movies or particular scenes (actress name or some other stuff)
- managing the files (eg. finding the duplicates)
- generating screencaps from movies
- embedded player which would allow to seek right to favourite scenes (when movie is long)
But to start work I need some more ideas from you guys. The software would not only be for my personal use

I have two files of porn so they kind of organize themselves.

Just by pornstar name, then the scenes alphabetically in one large folder.

I have folders for each porn star collected. If I only have one or maybe two scenes of hers and know I won't DL any more (e.g., retired), then they stay in a Miscellaneous folder.

For scenes with two or more porn stars, I try and rename the file with the porn star I like best as the first name listed and place it in her directory. Not always the best way, but it works for me.

I do exactly what you do.
Except that my miscellaneous folder has 25 sub folders labelled a to z.
Then it put each clip in there depending on the alphabetical name of the star or clip.
That way I can find them easier.

I only have 25 folders, as I have not yet got any clips starting with Q.

For clips with 2 of your faves in the name eg Asa Akira and Kristina Rose someone has suggest putting the file in one of their folders and then putting a short cut to it in the other stars folder. This sounds like a good idea, but I have not yet tried it.

That's too much work, lol. Shortcuts take time to make and I barely have time to organize what I have. Forget trying to sort through picture sets. I've got a lot of those I just downloaded and burned to DVD. No time at all to sort them out. The only sets I have "sorted" in a way are Sunny Leone and Molly Cavalli zips. The rest are just all over the place. I want to try and collect Aria Giovanni sets and I have a few, but it's gonna be more difficult now. So many sets over the years and her pictures come from many sources. Pain in the ass.

I left my miscellaneous folder as one because it isn't all that full. Currently it has 278 videos, but a few need their own new folders. I have more than two Tiffany Brookes vids and a couple others I need to move out of Misc. All in all, right now I have 314 folders. 312 are single porn stars and the other two are Misc and a Temp folder. 1.8 TB worth. Then about 100 GB on some active HDDs. The rest is all spread out on DVDs.
