Image viewer with ad-hoc slide show
I'm looking for an image viewer that had an ad-hoc slideshow capability (for Windows). Most want to just slideshow the current directory. Some let you use the standard file dialog to kind of do build across directories, but I find that cumbersome.
I'd like to be able to browse thumbnails in an explorer style interface, add a few images from here, a few from there, etc and then do a slideshow of those images selected across various directories. Ideally be able to right click the thumb and say "add to slidehow" I've searched elsewhere, not found anything. I've used the following and not had any luck a producing this result with their slideshow feature: FastPictureViewer, xnView, Irfanview, FastStone Thanks |

I'd suggest you look more at a picture manager than a file viewer. ACDSEE might be the one, I haven't kept up on the picture/file managers since IrfanView does all I need with its ability to move/copy images to a given bank of directories.
But something more along the lines of a "image manager" is probably the "keyword" you want to search on... ======================= US$.02 < ----- MINE... and worth every penny!!! |

Try EazyFlixPix. It's a desktop program that allows you to manage your Videos and Picture collections, view thumbnails, create slideshows, tag files, search your collection, etc.
Everything is quick, easy, and intuitive with a web UI. http://eazymojo.com/eazyflixpix.html |
