Are we splitting hairs here? She's not a celebrity by any definition of the word you or anyone else can come up with. She was on some shitty reality show that barely anyone watched, and she was on that show not because of any talent she had, but because she was too stupid to use birth control properly and thus got knocked up at 16.

I have to disagree with you, she has a top rated cable show, the news of her doing a sex tape was on nbc news and celebrity gossip site TMZ, so based on that alone, like it or not, she has some degree of "celebrity" about her. If there were not some degree of celebrity, these media outlets would not be reporting on it.

"Teen Mom" is watched by many more people than the shows of other Dancing with the Stars contestants , including people from the Real Housewives series, and whatever Disney star ABC is pimping out that week.

As much as I hate to say this, those shitty MTV shows are amazingly popular with the early teen to early twenties crowd. Hell, I even know people in their 30s and 40s who watch some of them.

Just because you or I haven't heard of her doesn't mean that millions of others haven't as well.
