I doubt JD will help DL speed from RS. RS throttles down all Dls for non premium account downloads. That has been their policy for months. Having said that why not give it a try and see what happens.

I've just started using JD myself and was amazed to find it will DL Rapidgator for me as I haven't been able to DL any Rgator links for months now. I only get about 100kb/s from Rgator, compared with 2.5Mb/s when I DL from Hotfile as a premium user.

There's a website called "Down or is it Just Me" that is very handy when you're unsure if a problem is local or on the server in question.

I use rapidshare premium and jdownloader, no issues here.

I tend to have issues with rapid and firefox so i just stick to using jdownloader.

Depending on your OS/Browser you may face problems... in other words, nothing is wrong with the links per se.

BTW I am using FF v15 on XP SP3.
