Budget and lack of desire. They're making porn, not a film. Even in the stupid Pirates porn films with a higher budget, it was rather cheesy and the focus was on sex. It's costs way too much to film and edit a film to look he way you're describing, not to mention, the acting would always suck, so why bother?
