A real view of why modern porn can be boring

The reason modern porn can be seen as boring is the lack of good direction by talented directors who actually care about making any semblance of art.

You see all movies (Well, most movies) are forms of art in one way or another. The difference between an average director and a great director is a great director always sees what works and what does not work. Film is a tricky thing. Sometimes you have to be shown something that is not true to real life in order to believe it.

All aspects of film do this. Punches in real life don't sound like they do in the movies, time passes at different speeds during action scenes, real food looks terrible on camera whereas fake food and paint looks fantastic. The point is real talent is fooling the audience, 100% of the time, since movies are always using actors and sets and are all fantasy, or interpretations of real events using a fantasy medium for education. Reality shows and documentaries are in a different league.

So here's my point; porn. Porn is film depicting people in the act of sex. Now with what I just told you, what seems like more work, and what seems lazier?

Option A) Creating a dynamic scene in which characters can emote without dialog, based on body language alone, that is so engrossing the watcher really wishes he/she were there.

Option B) Getting two people, whom have fucked many times before, to fuck once on camera and calling it a day.

This is the sin that modern porn falls into. It isn't a SCENE, it's practically a home video of people fucking. We all know when WE fuck it's actually pretty boring compared to humping in a fighter plane with your hair on fire. They try to make up with this by adding in some hardcore aspects, really beating the shit out of the women because probably people don't do that, and if they don't do that, they haven't seen it. Well, by now we've seen it, it still spells one word:

Lazy.

Think how easy it must be to just get a girl fucking, focus on her vagina being penetrated, and leave the camera on a coffee table while you get lunch.

Where are the changes in camera angles? Where is the dynamic lighting? Where are the appropriate zooms that don't overstay their welcome? This is not art not is it a fantasy of any kind. This is just two rabbits mating for hours on end.

They say less is more. If you eat a cupcake once a year, I'm sure cupcakes are the ultimate in pleasure food. If you eat a cupcake every minute, guess how sick you're going to get. To wit, when the directors don't shove it in your face, and you DO only get small glimpses of what you want to see, it's that much more interesting. You should not be able to fast forward through a scene and miss nothing. You SHOULD want to drop everything and be captivated by it.

Alright, both scenes rely on the same initial hook: The chick is wearing a hot outfit. However, Nikki wins because she's not naked to begin with. Carmella starts with her pussy on display. Wow, now my interest is really peaked. I wonder what else that I've ALREADY SEEN could I possibly continue to see more of? Let me keep watching.

Also notice in Nikki's scene no words are spoken, but it still speaks volumes more than the other one. Hmm, I wonder how they accomplished that. Perhaps an actual director with actors who give a shit. Perhaps.
