This is a really interesting discussion. Also, how much of a star do you have to be to be a "pornstar?"

You must be remembered by a great many years after you leave the industry: if you can achieve that, then you're a real "pornstar".

It also helps if you have a niche, something that sets you apart from the "pack". Uschi Digard and Kitten Natividad had mammoth breasts, even though their work in porn was minimal, if at all. Linda Lovelace had the blowjob, and the first to work shaved, which set her apart, even though the bulk of her career was pretty bad in retrospect. Seka had the "ice queen" look that was copied a thousand times. Georgina Spelvin was the first MILF. Lisa De Leeuw the first memorable redhead. The point is, they all did something before or better than anyone else. Judging from what I've seen of your work, you're on the right track. Just have to come up with "the trick". You definitely know how to promote, as I've seen your flicks on a lot of sites.

Let's switch "pornstar" with "porn actress". In that case, I'd say someone who has done HC on a somewhat regular basis for some time. I don't really know if I would consider someone who has appeared in one flick as a "real" adult actor/actress.
One particular case stands out because it demonstrates how blurry these lines can become: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/9_Songs |
