Your history elsewhere notwithstanding, and while your desire to contribute is appreciated, you need to "earn your stripes" here before being promoted. We need to ensure you're here to be a part of our community, and not just here to leech.

There are many ways and many places to get your feet wet (discussions, games, etc.), and when we're convinced you want to be a part of our community, subject to your contributions, we will consider a promotion, if warranted.
