Seeing this more and more with posts with 23.976, 24 or 30fps when the original source material is none of the above. I'm not sure why people keep feeling the need to change it but it's usually a mess and really serves no purpose.
The latest iteration is "The Swap 2 (1994)" upscale to 1080. Frankly it's a horrible mess, I don't know how it's possible to go from an NTSC 29.97(interlaced)fps down to 23.976(progressive)fps and still come out with a lot of blended/blurry frames!!! Maybe it's been de-telecined instead of de-interlaced and then just a frame rate change but who knows. I'd say leave it to people who know what they're doing (who probably like me wouldn't change the frame rate other than to de-interlace to progressive) but more and more i'm inclined to think these people do think they know what they're doing when it's clear they really don't. I'm not blaming posters btw I know a lot of this stuff is just being redistributed from site to site and rarely are they an actual original rip. It's just frustrating to see footage destroyed by an irrational need to change framerate. |

13- Required Host Rule
All new posts in V&C must contain at least two sets of interchangeable file links. At least one of the sets must be from one of the below required file hosts: 1fichier.com Mediafire Mega.nz pixeldrain Is 1fichier still an approved filehost in V&C? It's not longer allowed per the overall PS rules. mediafire isn't listed as an approved filehost either. |

I noticed the V&C rules were updated with the ban of 1fichier. This seems like a rash staff decision since they also sweep away those who have a 1ficher premium membership. None of my 1000+ files have dead 1fichier links and it's hard to see that new members would choose 1fichier as their primary host with 15 days retention. No one would care to update links every 15 days on a cashfree host. So I don't understand why this was necessary.
In any case, I'm hanging up my boots again and won't post new stuff or update old posts.
