Hey man, don't complain too much. The Wings were a god damn dynasty in the 90's and early 2000's. I remember those days. Detroit fucking dominated with a stacked lineup; Steve Yzerman, Sergei Fedorov, Paul Coffey (Norris Trophy winning defenseman, who was also an offensive powerhouse), etc, etc, etc. That's also when the Russian players (like S. Federov) started coming into the NHL and opposing teams who didn't know the Russian quick finesse style, did not know how to defend against it.

However, as a lifelong Bruins fan, I can sort of relate. B's won the Cup in 2011 and ended a 39 year drought. The way things are going for them recently (struggling to be a .500 hockey team and failing), I'm sure it'll be another 39 years. I'm almost 50 and I probably won't live to see it happen again...I seriously believe that. I see many "rebuilding years" coming, whether or not the B's organization admits it. They have to keep the fans believing...in fucking miracles; So they keep coming to the games and keep paying for NESN (the Bruins broadcast channel).

I also genuinely believe that we're well beyond the maximum capacity for expansion teams. The more teams you have, the less chance you have bringing home the Stanley Cup. Think of it like a lottery; More people = worse odds of winning for you. Also, there are only so many superstars like McDavid, Ovechkin, Bedard and Crosby, to go around. None of this bodes well for "Original Six" supporters like you and I. The NHL is diluting the game for profit and they don't care as long as they get paid. I'm pretty sure Chris Chelios said it best: "Fuck Bettman". Gary Bettman, the NHL's commissioner; A businessman who's never played a minute of hockey, a day in his life. What a shitbag. He ruined the NHL.

I'm guessing they didn't know how to recycle it, without getting charged and/or, they probably didn't know how to properly wipe the drive(s), so you were the person they trusted with their "data".

If you ever wanted to use Linux, now's the time. Upgrading that machine will not be worth it; In time or cost. I know the free upgrade from 7 to 10 is dead and 10 is pretty much dead anyway (Oct 14, 2025 is the finale). Linux Mint is very Windows-like and it's not resource heavy, for an old/tired PC.

You've really got nothing to lose with a free PC, unless you try to recycle it.

I don't know the exact date and I'm too lazy to look it up, but I have stumbled across the profiles of members who've been here since 2006 (or before that). That kind of shocked me, since those are longer standing accounts than our long-time lead admin, LarryO (2007). Long story short, I think PS started in early to mid 2000's.
