Assuming they are not rich or with someone that is rich, what would it take for something like this? Money isn't always the "solution". I feel like a lot of it has to do with their mental health and that they need to be in the right state of mind to make a comeback.

If the other 2 scenarios of meeting a famous and rich person, it could be sort of private.

If it's a regular person who is rich and not famous or anything like that, that would definitely be low-key.

Unless they are desperate and needed money most will stay retired. Plus you have to factor in how old they are as well. Some gain weight, some lose their looks, their appearance change. It's really an uphill battle. They're like professional athletes with only a limited number of years of being a performer unless they choose to start doing milf/mommy porn.

A lot of these folks just get burnt out from the business as it's not a kind profession. I'm sure they also see some unsavory things that just validates their departure too.

If they've got their self esteem and their health (mental as well as physical) together when they made that decision to leave- I don't see them coming back easily. These folks remind me of boxers who achieve some measure of success; the ones that aren't babbling like brooks are out and stay out. The desperate ones try to make comebacks and are a shadow of theiir former selves. It's usually a pretty pathetic performance at best- and whether they think about it or not, it ruins their legacy.

I'd much rather have my favorite stars go out on their own accord and at the peak of their game as opposed to struggling against gravity, wrinkles and trying to make rent or feed a drug habit.

This pretty much sums it up. I know a pornstar on a personal level from the 2000s era who was A list talent and was represented by LA Direct models and while she was proud of her adult career she said she decided to 'retire' because she had a kid and she also didn't find the industry 'fun' anymore as time progressed. She stills looks good and pornstar HOT IMO. The vibe I get from her is if she ever went back to porn it's a step backwards for her. What you wrote is spot on!

What I'm curious about is how often do you think ex pornstars get reached out to somehow? Like if they have social media, that is much easier. But if they don't, it's harder but if they find someone like a director and ask them about the ex pornstar and say hey I pay so and so to you if you could reach out to ex pornstar, you think the producer would do it?

Or imagine something like this. Lot of ex pornstars work a regular job. Imagine someone that is a hair stylist now. Imagine you go there for some reason and then notice hey that is retired pornstar so and so. Then imagine going to ask if they would be willing to meet up with you for so and so.
