I say I'm hanging 1200 lights on a new house tomorrow and about to bump my number above 13,000.

When I came in from the mailbox late yesterday afternoon, the doorknob broke off in my hand.

I was able to lock it for the night, but didn't bother trying to repair it.

Today I found a lock set already in my stash, probably a discontinued and discounted model "just in case."

So, I've replaced that in the last few minutes.

I am really started to hate posting in the accomplishment thread because "something broke."

I walk about 5 km per day, every day, since I was young.
However I have been lazy lately, and I skipped it the last 3 days.
Today I got back into the good habit!

I have five shrubs in the back yard that can be pruned anywhere from Thanksgiving to Valentine's Day, and another ten that I prune in that area behind the fence I have mentioned before.

When I got home from work yesterday afternoon, the weather was pleasant, so I told myself I would prune three of the ones in the back yard and knock out the other 12 later. Forecast for today is rain, and I was making great progress, so I finished the five in the yard.

Another reason I kept going was the inevitable additional laundry when I do knock out the other 12. Aphid poop needs to be washed off immediately. Clothes in the washer and butt in the shower before anything else can be done.

I don't mind maintaining the area behind the fence. There is a rarely used road back there, so I'm not back to back with someone else's lawn. I can throw my limbs over the fence and deal with them later. And the area is not large, about 8 by 60 feet, (2.4m by 18.3m*). And seven of the ten shrubs are not very large.

I set those shrubs back there myself. They help keep out undesirable foliage, and help prevent erosion which would collapse the fence. And they have these gorgeous blooms that dance over the top of the fence in the wind.

The rain predicted for today has passed through in the night, and this afternoon looks good to tackle the project. It only takes me two or three hours to prune all fifteen. I get to use tools; and I don't need a gym membership. I get a sense of family as well, as many of my extended family members are in the green thumb business.

Yeah, okay, the rain last night was a preview, not the main event. I did get the ten behind the fence cut and the inevitable load of clothes finished. I did not get the limbs stacked about 80 meters away in a pile the county picks up about twice a year.

However, where they are now will draw no complaints, and I can leave them there till spring when I need to move them for the weedeater.

Work let us go early today. We've caught up. Which means come Friday afternoon, we will not be caught up, and will work five hours Saturday morning.

So, leaving work at 10 am, I went behind the fence and cleaned up all those limbs. The weather was gorgeous and seventy degrees. Good thing I finished before noon, by 2:15 the weather had gone to shit, dropped 20 degrees and raining.

But you know, spent an hour working in the aphid poop, had to knock out a load of laundry, or three.

Wife has guests coming tomorrow for a local concert, giving the "guest" aka, "my" bathroom a good scrub down.

My family has an odd Christmas tradition. We store and reuse many of the boxes we use to wrap gifts. Granted, some boxes are one and done. Some by reason of years of wear are done and gone. But I have stored the equivalent of four laundry baskets of empty boxes in the attic for next year.

I've got %25 of the lights down and stored away. None of my neighbors have been in a rush to get them down, so I started slowly yesterday afternoon.

The weather is predicted to deteriorate rapidly this weekend, so whatever I intend to do outside needs to be tomorrow.

Haven't had to cook anything fresh for 11 days, leftovers are bountiful. Leftovers are also getting boring.

With an immense sense of accomplishment, I can inform you lads that I have taken action into curbing my porn addiction, with great success!

As I described before, I wasn't really a masturbation addict; far from it.
I usually jerkoff no more than once, twice per week.

But I spent a sizeable part of every day checking new porn, downloading it, sorting it and combing through it.
That simply became unsustainable, and I wanted to become a porn enjoyer once again, rather than a porn addict.

At first I thought it was going to be impossible but it actually proved to be easier than I thought, after the first 2 days.

Mind you, I haven't said I'm done wioth porn, and to be fair I don't see why I should let go of something I like, but I have set a straight discipline regime that I'm following with no exception, no matter how stressful of a day I had.

My current arrangement is to not expose myself to porn of any kind (and sexual content in general, so not even photos of sexy women or whatever) for the whole working week, leaving me with friday and saturday nights to enjoy porn.
Been tempted a few stressful days, but i resisted, and every time I resist the temptation, I become a tiny bit stronger in will.

One pleasant side effect I noticed is that whenever I allow myseklf to enjoy porn, it finally feels almost as axciting as when I started consuming it.
I kinda feel like a teenager again (in a good way).
It's also very exciting to have lots of files to download, in the same day (usually friday).

I couldn't be happier with my current arrangement!

If you have entertained the thought of cutting down your porn consumption I can tell you it's easier than you think!
You just have to go through the first few days, mostly to remove the habit of browsing it (mostly when bored).

Remember...in most cases it is a habit, rather than an addiction.
Still bad in its own way, but way easier to overcome!

I'll be the last one judging anyone here (would be stupid to do so in a porn forum, after all), but I'm telling you.
It's easier than you make it to be, in your head.

The fifteen measuring spoons were purchased in a single bag. Eight of those have been placed in the dishwasher, seven have been placed in a donation bag for the thrift store I visit every Sunday.

I enjoy restoring damaged Christmas ornaments. The ornament for a dollar needed six small repairs. Done. Ready to hang on the tree this December.

The socks, pants, and shirt have already made it through the laundry. The shoes will be polished within an inch of their lives tomorrow afternoon.
