Otherwise we will have to close/remove the thread altogether (and we definitely don't want that, as we're PRO free-speech). Let's just keep it friendly and cool.

musk bullshit from a regular news source:
[<< Two senior security officials at the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID) were threatened with arrest and then put on leave after refusing to let Elon Musk's Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) access systems at the agency. In a report on Sunday, CNN said that personnel from DOGE were initially stopped after they tried to physically access USAID facilities in Washington, D.C., on Saturday night. The DOGE personnel, who do not officially work for the U.S. government, demanded access and then threatened to call U.S. Marshalls. "Three of the sources said the DOGE personnel wanted to gain access to security systems and personnel files. Two of those sources said also they wanted access to classified information," CNN reported. >>] This looks like regular news to ME. I don't know if those in charge will agree. I'm not posting just to push boundaries. Please wipe it off if you do feel it is too political. I won't need to be told because I'll just see it's gone.

FYI, if you post about something done in his government capacity then it's politics.
There's plenty to talk about beside that. This should get the ball rolling... Elon Musk was nominated for a Nobel Peace Prize for his support of free speech. |

The nomination would be more appropriate in the "Joke of the Day thread.

A nomination for a Nobel prize is virtually meaningless. (In my view winning the prize itself is fairly meaningless, but that is beside the point.) Thousands of people are petitioned for nominations.

Considerably less than he paid to turn Twitter into a misinformed, ignorant, racist, fascistic, misogynistic shitpit.

OK, guys.
Let's avoid talking about the whole Orange/Musk affair, and let's just focus on the damage that Musk has caused to Twitter (once a friendly, free-speech platform, where people actually connected MORE than with FB). Even though i'm in the EU, I definitely HATE what is happening to America, and I definitely have A LOT to say about what happened since January. But, since we don't allow any politics, let's just try not to derail this thread, please. Any posts that deals with government decisions/news will be removed. In my opinion, Musk has done a hell of a "good job" turning Twitter into a cult. I think not even the most "hardcore" Apple/Amazon user can stand a chance with any "blindfolded" Musk fan.
