Wife and I have this event we like to call "mini vacation."
We will pick a Mom and Pop Diner, not a chain, some place that has been in business for a long time, within a certain distance of home, and go there for lunch. Before we leave we research discount stores, outlet malls and thrift stores in the area. Today, in addition to the Diner, we hit two discount stores and three thrift stores after our diner experience. We hit nothing, absolutely nothing, in the discount stores, but I did make purchases in thrift stores. Pair of leather dress shoes Two pair of flannel pajama pants One plaid flannel "lumberjack" shirt Three freezer ice cube trays Fifteen measuring spoons Two pair socks One Christmas ornament Total = $21 |

My mouse quit today so i went and got a cheap one from walmart, it just don't feel right, it don't slide right, the buttons don't feel right, using it is like having to learn to walk again after a bad accident.

Could be worse. You could be using an iMac box to sit on until your new desk chair arrives.

So, another chain is going out of business and I went to their local store today.
Gallon of deck bleach Pack of 14 led light bulbs Pair of sneakers Pack of 18 pair of heavy duty work socks Heavy duty scrub brush Candle holder/coaster 2 cds $62.97 Overall, I only saved $13.02, but that's %20 and really good considering the variation in saving percentages across different categories. |
