Just imagine people sitting around grousing about Einstein after he became famous: "This Einstein guy, he's only a patent clerk, not even a real physicist -- couldn't even get a professorship at a university. He's not smart at all, didn't learn to talk until he was four years old, got bad grades in school. No one even claims to understand what he wrote except a handful of poindexters . . . utter gibberish. Not to mention I've heard he's planning on marrying his cousin. Can't even comb his hair properly, let alone write a good physics paper."
Envy is such a nasty thing, it can blind even the most perceptive people. If those who are so critical of Musk even spent a bit of time actually researching him, most would pretty quickly revise their opinions. |

He has no patents pending unless he paid for them #1. He's barely litteraye in three languages. He had to pay a musician prostitute to have his kids. |

As hard as it may be to believe, people have been getting progressively smarter since Einstein's time. IQ testing only formally began in 1905, oddly enough the same year Einstein had his annus mirabilis, and since then each generation has scored somewhat higher than the last (although James Flynn, the researcher who discovered this trend, said that IQ finally started to plateau in recent years, at least in developed countries). A variety of factors like better nutrition, early education, and control of infectious disease are likely the causes. |

off the top of my head...

advancements in battery technology advancements in electric car technology advancements in self driving technology advancements in aerospace technology advancements in A.I. technology advancements in solar energy technology advancements in neurotechnology advancements in Medical equipment advancements in robotics world wide satellite internet self sufficient solar powered homes Most likely advancements in military technology we will never know about and more, plus who knows what else his companies are working on we don't even know about. Currently we use spaceX rockets to get to the ISS, without them we would have to rely on Russia and right now that is not viable, there are plans for tourist trips to space in the near future, and it probably will be a spacecraft built by musk, not NASA, that puts the first man on mars. working on things like the hyperloop which will allow ground travel that is faster than a commercial jet flight Robots like his Optimus Robot means we could have our own robot to do chores around the home or to goto work for us so we don't have to. Tesla plans to have Optimus bots working in its factories in 2025 and available to consumers in 2026. after it's in production he said the robot would cost “less than a car,” or “probably $20,000 to $30,000.” (i'll believe that when i see it) So hypothetically in the not to distant future our robot will goto work for us while we travel to a friends house at 800mph then go on a joy ride to space then have our self driving car take us home to our solar self powered house where our A.I. intelligent life-like robot has dinner cooked and waiting for us, then after dinner control our home using just our mind and our neuro implants, turn on the tv & watch the first astronauts walking on mars. I can't think of another person that has come so close to making the sci-fi utopian dream a possibility. That is if his money holds out and his A.I. & robotics work does not doom us (most tests on A.I. i have seen shows A.I. is even more evil than we are and have no respect for human life, put that in his super powered robots and were headed down the terminator path) I will probably live to see some of these things become normal everyday life, Some i will not, I'm not really that old but old enough that many common things today were impossible sci-fi fantasy when i was a kid, I am still alive today because of tech that did not exist when i was a kid, one thing i know is what seems impossible today may not be tomorrow, especially if you through enough money at it, musk= money, money & more money. Like i said it's doubtful he will have anything to do with the actual work but the people he employs do. It takes a army of workers to do these things and it takes someone with a enormous amount of money and the willingness to spend it to get these things accomplished. I don't care if their the nicest person in the would or the biggest asshole, i only care what they can get done. |

Thanks for your response. Those people are responsible for the advances because they did the work, not Elon. Cheerleaders like Elon, get the crowd fired up but they are not the team winning the game. Players often change teams and when they do, their talent goes with them. |

musk would be the team owner since he controls & pays for everything not a cheerleader, cheerleader would just be another employee. as far as the work it's kinda a catch-22 situation. (an impossible situation because you cannot do one thing until you do another thing, but you cannot do the second thing until you do the first thing.) yes his employees did the work and deserve credit for it, but they only did it because he paid them to do it and gave them a place to do it. It takes everyone to win the game. you could think that they would just work for someone else (change teams) but chances are they couldn't and would most likely end up asking customers if they would like fries with their burger. currently companies are looking to get rid of as many employees as possible not take more on, all the super rich are already doing their own things and would not be able to take on all those massive endeavors, If musk's companies were not there simply a lot of things he's doing just would not get done or be delayed possibly by decades. Edison got the credit for some inventions his employees actually made, musk or any company owner is not any different today. A employer is useless without employees, employees are useless without an employer, the only thing that really gets the job done is cold hard cash. |
