In 2004 Alpha Blue Archives re-released Alex DeRenzy's 1977 film Long Jeanne Silver. It was posted awhile back by Phineas J Whoopee but the links are all dead. I picked it up the DVD on a torrent site. Here's the .avi rip of the main movie plus the 'bonus scene' with Carol Connors from Desire for Men (posted by Schratt here).

Alex DeRenzy produced more than a few good films during the 1970s but he also produced more than a few awful ones. This one falls into the second category. Simply a dumb way to make money off a gimmick. Long Jeanne Silver was a New York runaway who made her acting debut in Shaun Costello's Waterpower in 1976. She then came to San Francisco landing on The Mitchell Brother's doorstep. The Mitchells picked her up and put her in live sex shows. Soon washed up, DeRenzy decided to use her in one of his hardcore quickies and shot a standard vignette film with her peculiarity as the centerpiece. Now for those of you who don't know where Long Jeanne got her name, well...She doesn't have one of her legs (yes, you read that right) and uses the stump the same way gay boys use their arms!

So Long Jeanne Silver (the film) is just that, consisting of scene after scene of Long Jeanne sticking her long john in lots of girls (and even one boy in by far the film's funniest scene). To explain my negative review of this supposed cult classic, it's not that I'm a prude but this film is so boring! Maybe some people can sit through 70 minutes of dumb boring leg stump sex but not me. DeRenzy, who certainly proved himself a great director through such titles as Femmes DeSade, Pornography In Denmark and Pretty Peaches, just doesn't pull it off in this one.

3. Apocryphal story regarding the gay guy scene:

Porn legend Johnny Legend remember a frantic phone call he received from pornographer Mike Weldon, who made Getting Off and Skin Tight. He'd bought the movie from deRenzy. But every time he tried to resell it, every potential buyer came running out of the theater at the same point. Legend was told to find out what was wrong and cut it out of every existing print.

Johnny remembers that the movie starts out as typically loopy San Francisco porno, shot in 16mm but blown up to 35mm standard hardcore (with a stump thrown in).

Then in the film's second segment, Silver picks up a gay guy and brings him home. She then shoves her leg down his puckered ass. "And she keeps going in, deeper and deeper. I even began to squirm… I ran into the booth, stopped the film, marked the footage number, then told the projectionist to let me know when the scene ended. I held my eyes shut until a tap on the shoulder told me it was over. I marked the end numbers on the scene, then galloped off to the editing room to hastily remove the offending sequence from all existing prints."

I wrote a review of this a few years ago...here's how it starts:

If you put together a short list of the strangest porn films ever made, you must include at least one film starring peg leg porno pussy Long Jeanne Silver.

Although the events of her life are apocyrphal, they make for a great story. Jean Silver was born around 1958 in suburban Phoenix. Baby Jeanne was born without a fibula (smaller bone in the lower leg) a shortened foreleg and several missing toes. At age two her lower right leg was amputated, leaving a foot-long stump below her knee to accommodate a prosthesis.

Adolescent Jeanne quickly developed into a wayward child, and was sent to reform school at age fifteen, after seven burglary arrests. While in reform school she learned the tricks of the "world's oldest profession," hooking and stripping in the Phoenix area and elsewhere. In 1976, Jeanne made her way to New York and fell in with the roughie crowd. Jeanne's first porno role was a light part in the Shaun Costello enema classic Waterpower. The next year, she showed up at the front door of the Mitchell Brothers in San Francisco, offering herself for any available sex work. Rival porn impresario Alex DeRenzy quickly scooped her up for this film bearing her name. This, combined with a rather rather scandalous centerfold in Cheri gave her instant recognition. Jeanne took up residence in biker-pornographer Carter Stevens's studio, the "Slut Motel." She appeared in about twenty roughies in New York, as well as continuing to do films and sex shows at the Melody in Times Square and the O'Farrell in the Tenderloin. By 1985 Long Jeanne was out of the business. Reports say she either returned to rural Arizona to raise a family, or that she went to school to become a physical therapist.

Jeanne was a better-than-average blonde for her time, willowey but jaded, as one might expect of a young criminal born into the flower generation and maturing in the "Me" generation. She was a switch, but seemed to prefer the dominant side. And of course her calling card was the stump, which she billed as "The only penis larger than John Holmes." She says the stump is mostly skin covering bone, but that the nerve endings are very sensitive, and that she derives great physical pleasure from using it on any willing orifices.
