You probably need to report the thread where you are seeing this. I downloaded two FJ files today, one this morning before work and one a couple of hours ago.

Of course, I got the "you must wait 3 hours before your next download" prompt, but they both downloaded.

Just like many others I've had lots of bad experience with FJ for a long time as a free-user. Sometimes downloads fail just after 5-10 mins, sometimes after a few hundred MB's.

My most recent experience: I've been trying to download a 1,4 GB file this week, after like 3-4 failed attempts this morning it finally succeeded (dl time was ~3 hours), and now 8-9 hours after this glorious success when I try to dl a new file (even in a different browser) it still says: "your download hasn't finished yet".

So yeah, I wholeheartedly support the idea of mandatory mirror links, unless it's filefox, because they are just as terrible as FJ...

Looks to me like it's selective to certain people if you can download in free mode. Lots of us can't.

Oh interesting that now it actually says that you have reached the download limit. Were you able to download the next day?

In the past, what happened to me was that my IP got temporarily blocked by FJ and how I could tell was the wait counter would never actually go down.

This happened to me specifically when trying to resume or re-download a failed download of a multi-gigabit file. I think the magic limit was somewhere around 5 GB and failed downloads seemed to count towards the limit with the full file size. So let's say I was trying to download a 2.6 GB file, and it failed, then if I tried to download it again within 24 hours, it would count it as if I had downloaded 5.2 GB total.

The really annoying thing was that when this happened, I was blocked for a full month because of this.

I've been told for weeks my IP range had hit its daily limit even when I hadn't downloaded in days because every attempt would get this message.

They've now blocked their help message system by not giving a Captcha.

I've even switched to using a personal hotspot and no longer get a download start.

I don't trust things will work even if you *do* pay up for Premium with the support message lockout…

Pleas shift to other services. No idea why Mega.nz is not popular - they check files? I did a test upload to my account and FileJoker deleted it within a day…

Filejoker's 2025 record so far:

3 files attempted, 0 completed. Each one failed at about 60% completion. One file is 455 MB in size, the other 714 MB in size (tried it twice).

Complete rubbish service.

ETA: have had no issues with any of the competitors. K2S/FB/TEZ included.

Surprisingly made it 96% of a 1.6 GB file today, then THE WORST FILE HOST EVER basically disappeared, browser and jDownloader aren't able to find it anymore, the FILEHOST (!) not the file!
