I was looking at the upscale and comparing it to another enhanced version. I'm not sure if it was your previous upload or another person's. I noticed a bit of detail was smoothed out. An example is Gauge's skin at 12:48. Also, shadows became noticebly darker. An example is at 16:58, where I can barely see details of her face. I can see her face in the older file and even on a low quality clip on a PPV site.

Are these two qualities an intended part of the upscaling, or are they unavoidable outcomes from the process?

BTW, I am currently doing another rework of that Gauge scene that blows the other one away. Working from the original this time.
