Closed Captions
I download some movies from other countries with closed captions and while playing on my computer I am able to read them. When I load the movie to a thumb drive and plug it into my TV they do not show, what is missing to show them in the TV? Any ideas?

Check your TV menu and you should have an area called settings. That's normally where you will fine the option to show or not show closed captions.

The TV will show the captions on broadcast shows but not on the downloaded movies put on a thumb drive.

On both my TV's, subtitles will work if it is an MKV where the subs are in the same container, but if it is an .mp4 then the separate file needs to have a same or similar name to the movie in order to load. For example, Debbie.Does.Dallas.mp4 and Debbie.Does.Dallas.srt. The same applies to .sub/.idx. |
