I find it very odd that a lot of women in the US have such an issue with the word "cunt". Especially because when you ask them what their problem is, they usually have no answer why exactly the word "cunt" is so especially offensive or bothersome. I think it's pretty ridiculous to be offended by a simple word (string some words and more complex ideas together and add context and you might be getting somewhere on the offensiveness meter), and the word "cunt" in particular given the unclearly-sourced outrage for this word in the US.

Given the special outrage, the word "cunt" can be particularly amusing to use. I don't think any other non-racially-themed word elicits such a reaction anymore. I don't particularly care for the word, but the very fact that it offends people is a good reason to use it. Hate speech that reflects ideologies is one thing, but the concept of isolated "bad words" is amusing.

It's damn effective in evoking emotions as it's got that much power; you hit it on the head that it is a word that makes people bristle. It's like owning a huge caliber gun- just because you have it doesn't mean you have to "fire" it off in order to show off you can do it. I choose not to use the word just because I know its power.

Had a discussion on this topic with the lovely BBW I fucked in the cunt last Wednesday evening. Over time I've learned to not hold back sexually, while of course being receptive to input from your partner; in practice that means I'm very sexually assertive and vocal as well, which is more fun for me and generally (tho for sure not always) gets rave reviews from the women. Aaaaaanyway "cunt" is a fave word and during sex I used it liberally cause it's honestly thrilling to tell a woman to, for instance, "take it up your fat slut cunt" and have her respond enthusiastically, which was definitely the situation on Wednesday. Over dinner she asked about it and said she had never been with anyone using the word so brazenly, and had to rearrange her mind on the topic on the fly, i.e. while i was rearranging her interior plumbing. I spoke honestly about how the use of transgressive or degrading words and phrases feels arousing and intimate to me, engendering a closeness that two ppl might not feel if they were tiptoeing around trying to not offend each other. We both agreed that talking about her cunt and calling it that during sex was quite different than calling *her* a cunt, especially outside of the sexual arena - though now I feel inclined to cross that line as well and call her a dirty cunt next time we're having sex and see how it goes. wish me luck!
