Don't shout at the person who is trying to help you, as a qualified PC Technician I can tell that you are not at all well versed in computers and have many threads here asking for help which some of us are trying to do but for some reason all you can do is act up.

At the end of the day file sizes are fine and it's just you who is whining, Broadband is here to stay, nothing much else to say.

i'm not biting any hands; i'm just confused when i state i got rid of dialup against my will, and would have prefered to keep it "another 20 years" and u interpret that as saying "another 20 years of broadband".

the filesize part goes back to my original point: broadband is of course faster than dialup; even k2s-throttled broadband is faster than dialup; but it is unfortunately accompanied by an obsession with making the files humongous to match. (the original complaint)

in my own case, dialup i got abt 14M/hr.
broadband, i get abt 18G/hr.
k2s via broadband, i get abt 100M/hr.

but the sitcom i need to DL from k2s is 1.5G or 2.3G or 3.8G where it would only be 120M or 140M via t0rr3nt.

since k2s ends up about 7x faster than dialup, a 15x or 20x increase in filesize like that means the net result is SLOWER THAN DIALUP.

which, in fact, is the point. looking at the end result, i could DL a typical sitcom from dialup/t0rr3nts in about 10 hrs. it takes 20 hrs or so to do it nowadays from k2s/broadband.

K2s are not throttling your Broadband, K2s are limiting the download speed for non paying customers, if you pay you will get full speed and be able to download a 1.5GB film in around 2minutes.

If you were to download a file that is 1.5Gb on K2s or Torrent for free then Torrent will piss all over any hoster as long as you have enough seeds sharing the file.

You are totally confused about how the whole technology works and until you get your head around that I or anyone else for that matter can not help you, unless you are willing to learn which is down to you.

I just downloaded a 2.34Gb film via Torrent in 5 minutes, so you are confused.

In summary, he is saying that because he is accessing the filehost in question as a free member, since the file sizes have gotten larger, it now takes longer to download.

Refer to the other topic discussing file sizes.

In any case, it is what it is at this point. Aside from the few people that want crappy quality small files for use on their phone, everyone else wants higher quality files to watch on the big screen TV. For that matter, I can usually tell the difference on my computer, much less a large screen TV. I get it, everyone is different, and some people don't care, but those supplying the content, cater to the majority.
