ok, i figured it out...hold onto your butts....
as i said, my main complaint is lack of a meaningful error msg. when u try ULing AUDIO (mp3), a progress bar pops up, and then just HANGS. instead of, say, a msg like "FB does not, ever, allow mp3 uploads". using a converter, i turned it into an MP4. when u try ULing that, u get the aforementioned "upload failed, try again". rather than, say, WHY it failed or the fact that trying again will never, ever, succeed. aniwe.... i'd been trying to UL in reply to someone else's post somewhere. then i got to wondering whether maybe they were blocking it somehow, so i tried ULing to my own feed; perhaps i'd have better luck? short answer: no, but it DID give me a diff error msg, namely: "image height is too short; must be minimum of 120". WHAT THE....?! did anyone have that in the pool?! resized background image, ran the converter anew, and bada-bing-bada-boom, ULs just fine, both to my own feed, and to posts/threads/boards of others. moral of the story: FACEBOOK SUCKS. |

But within those file types they can variants or flavours and they are in simple terms containers, for example MPEG4 H.265 or 264, which contain different variables of sound, subs and actual video. |
