As a hungarian I say it's a made up myth. If it has any true base it could came from the fact that Hungary is a melting pot for centuries. The hun is a different nation here in Central Europe came from the East 1000 years ago. No one knows exatly where from. But we are not 'the huns' for sure, we call ourself 'magyar'.

We speak an "eastern-nothern" languege but we are with close bonds with the southern people of the great steppe like the turks. We have many base words for animals and tools similar to turk but the grammar is very different.

So the 10 tribes of the 'magyars' came here to Hungary 1000 years ago. We do not know how many. 30K? 70K? 100? We know that many kind of people lived here but we don't know who and how many.

XIII. century: Tatar invasion, extrem genocide here, could be that the third of the population died. New folks in - mostly slavics ang germans.

XVI. century: Ottoman conquest for 150 years, the kingdom teared appart to three parts. After the Ottomans guess what: new folks in - mosty slavics and germans.

So the culture and the langugae managed to survived. But what about the bloodline? Even my small hometown has historic districts in the names: german, slovak, turk, gipsy...

So if the hungarian girls are pretty its not becouse of they are 'magyar' but we have mixed bloodline more than any nations in Central Europe.
