Will Shane McMahon join AEW? Saw a post on Facebook saying he had signed with them. Didn't believe it and looked it up. Guess it comes from JR mentioning it on his podcast

Slow wrestling news day. They may as well change from AEW to MJF at this point. Maybe Shane should be the manager for Bron since he thinks management is against him. Some interesting stories could come out of it.

On this day in 1986:
In Greensboro, NC, on the second to last Great America Bash stop, in front of a sellout crowd at the Greensboro Coliseum, Dusty Rhodes pins Ric Flair to win his third and last NWA World Heavyweight Championship in a steel cage, with a small package. Rhodes would lose the title back to Flair two weeks later, in St. Louis, MO, after being attacked by Tully Blanchard the previous night. Rhodes would "pass out" while in Flair's figure four leglock... |

Was watching Blood and Guts last week and saw Jack Perry take a chair shot to the head. I thought those had been effectively banned.

I think it's a company by company basis. Only WWE has really banned chair shots to the head (at least to my knowledge. I could be wrong, though). You'd think every company would've done that after the Benoit tragedy.

I thought All In was a great show. It rates an easy 10, even easier than last year as this show had 2 maybe even 3 matches that went way beyond anything from 2023, and I loved last year's show.
Hook/Jericho was everything I didn't want it to be (though I enjoyed the Taz bit at the end and his beeps from his old theme being used for Hook) and Mercedes/Britt suffered from the crowd recovering, they still pulled off some really cool spots and got people into it at points but it was following an immaculate match in MJF/Ospreay, every spot in that match looked absolutely perfect, any match would have struggled to follow it but a Britt match probably stood out even more. Didn't have anything like the issue with the tag match some seemed to though, thought it was a lot of fun, I always love different teams combining for moves like they did with the EVP Trigger and the Shatter Machine. My only real negative of the whole night was returning Jamie Hayter on the pre show, of all things. That was a terrible waste of one of the biggest pops of the night/year but I can even let that slide a little because we've got Jamie fucking Hayter back and it wasn't like we didn't get a whole load of other amazing pops the whole night. Casino Gauntlet was incredible again, such a great idea and Nigel being in genuinely took me by surprise. Awesome to see Ricochet too. Toni/Mariah was also outstanding, so glad it lived up to the billing after a couple of minor missteps in what has otherwise been one of their best ever storylines Hard to say what was my MOTN between MJF/Ospreay and Danielson/Swerve but I'd probably give it to the latter for the incredible atmosphere and drama, plus the big emotional moment at the end. Massive, massive shoutout to the crowd, so much louder and more raucous than last year. I don't know if it was the better build or less people in the building that weren't as familiar with the product but holy shit it was molten hot almost the entire night. The whole set up looked great considering there were way less people and you'd have never known it from the sheer fucking noise. A fucking great show.

Knowing how bad it was for Jamie, I wouldn't have blamed her if she retired. Being that she's my top favorite in AEW, it would've sucked to not see her perform in the ring anymore, but I would've definitely respected her decision because one's health obviously comes first.
The fact that she's healthy and back is very inspiring. The pop she got at Wembley was extremely heartwarming. I greatly missed her and can't wait to see her perform again.

If anyone's interested, I just posted the "Mr. McMahon" N3tfl1x documentary (all 6 episodes) here.
