I use the paid version of iobit's ASC for regular junk file cleanup, and the free version of Bitdefender for security. Bitdefender has caught a few things.
I agree with OddBa11's comments. Like when I told my doctor I broke my arm in two places, he said "Well, stay out of those places!"
I also never let my browsers save any passwords or personal info, and make sure I'm at a secure (https) site on the rare occasions when I buy something online.
I'll add my own 2 bits here, I keep multiple copies of everything that's not the OS (pic, movies, docs, 3rd party software install files) on separate external drives (in encrypted partitions). You can always reinstall the OS. I lost a hard drive about 20 years ago, lost everything, and learned my lesson the hard way.
