Hello All.

I regularly use RARBG to download videos but recently found that direct access prompts a Secure Connection Failed message. Are they any safe proxy sites for RARBG as I've always found it an ideal site, not just for downloads but also film news and the like. A lot of the stuff I've downloaded from it has been tv shows - I'm not into downloading films that are still on at the cinema - like documentaries, although it has come in handy for "other stuff", too!

I go to RARBG every day several times a day and I just use the URL.

It has never given me any error messages and I never had to use proxy or whatever you call it to access it.

Sound like your PC and Network card has issue or your ISP has added RARBG to a list of censored websites.

You wouldn't be in England, would you?

Many British ISP are blocking their customers from accessing websites they believe is in violation of copyright laws - without due process.

If UK ACME XYZ Internet Service decides some of the stuff posted by members on Facebook or YouTube violates copyright laws, they will block their customers from accessing it.

Censorship is alive and well in the UK. No surprise there since cities in the UK like London is the most CCTV cameras monitored city in the world.

I'm in the UK, I access RARBG without any issues (Not the "England" part of the UK, but by and large we have the same laws).

I wouldn't be worried by Namcot's sweeping rhetoric, when you take into account the fact that "70 times more cameras [are] operated privately by businesses and others using the devices for reasons including the protection of property, crime detection, or safety" than are operated by the authorities, you can see that we haven't suddenly become a police state.
