I personally hate the hide links tool.

Some sections have a rule that if the tool is used, the poster must include the name of the filehost openly in the post. Some sections do not have this rule. It should be a forum wide rule, not just by section.

It is for over ten years that I've been saying that our rules need to by simplified and condensed.

DoctorNo is correct; the Hide Like Rules are not in the 'Forum-Wide Guidelines'. However typing the name or initials of hidden links is a forum-wide rule in an Important Information section thread, see: Hide Option Enabled Forum-wide. Judging by the number of warnings and infractions given for violating this rule, moderators strictly enforce it.

Also, for each "Hide Link" enabled section, there is a stuck thread re-stating the rules.

It can be created in a TXT file. It would be very useful.

Thread titles can not be searched in Group Models and Hard Group Models using undisguised names. However, the first 2 digits of Group Models and Hard Group Models threads are not disguised. The best way to locate a disguised thread name is to arrange threads alphabetically.
