Well there is a reason for that. If the girl appears to wimper and not consenting when the scene is over the girl can go back into the real world and the stigma attached to making a porn movie isn't there. Sounds weird and maybe I'm not explaining it right but japanese culture won't look down on them for being a porn star as long as the girl didn't enjoy what she was doing and appeared docile and afraid.

Here in the states our culture is such that once a girl does porn and it ends up on the internet (which lasts forever) she is branded as trash and a slut until the day she dies (and even after that).

That's an interesting idea...not sure how well pans it out though, I dunno.

I always believed it had to do with the general fetish in Japan, where the porn girls act inexperienced or even childish, and scared, whimpering when it comes to getting groped or fucked. That that is the big turnon for a lot over there.
